Finally! N.A.S.A. debut album will be released on 17th February 2009, via Anti- and this was announced today on Billboard. The title of this compilation, featuring musicians known for genre-surfing and, of course, from North America and South America will be The Spirit of Apollo
As it was revealed long ago, John is on the fifth song, Way Down, together with RZA and Barbie Hatch.
Just a reminder on how long this has been planned: Squeak E. Clean (Sam Spiegel) and DJ Zegon (Ze Gonzales). The duo has been working on the album for five years ever since conceiving it at a party in Brazil. And, they are planning to tour in the near future with dancers, visual effects, art installations and special guests. It is not clear when and where this would take place.
And, for everyone who has not seen it before, here is the megamix. If you're watching it carefully, you'll notice someone familiar in two scenes.

Way down is very nice, especially the guitar
.
I'll be happy when it will be out.
it's so disappointing to see John as the greatest rock guitarist of all time collaborating with unknown artists such as those on this album whom don't represent rock music at all...I've mentioned this before and I still reiterate that it makes me sick to my stomach to see John underestimating his high station as a musician and as a result working with low level or mediocre musicians of different genres.Just take Chad for example who works with legends such as Satriani or Haggar and then take a look back at those that John has collaborated with so far...it's a shame...I've always dreamt of John playing along rockers and musicians of his calibre but this seems far from imagination
@behnood: Why you are saying that the others are "low-level musicians"? Did you ever listened to all of them? If John is playing with then, it cause John likes them music. So, I think that they are not that bad.
I'm from Brasil and I don´t ever listend the name "Zé Gonzales", but Seu Jorge is so good! Try Seu Jorge.com. His voice is very good. He mix samba and rock.. it's very very nice!
He's living HIS dream, not yours--get it?
Dear Andre',with all due respect I think there's a large difference between these names on NASA album and guys like Satriani with whom Chad works with...let's be honest once and for all...John is the best guitar player of all times,in which non of us has a single doubt. Also we love him so much that we can't think of a day without listening to his music or reading about his daily chore thanks to Iva's kind devotion, but the fact is that John hasn't had any significant collaboration with a renowned and eminent musician so far.you can't find mouth watering names such as Satriani,Hammet,Friedman and many more having worked with him so far....the most famous ones that I can recall are guys like Dave Gahan or Harrison's son whose name I can't remember(proving how unrecognized he is)....so,our beloved musician lags on this part.
why would you complain about john collaborating with hiphop acts. everyone can do whatever they want and if john doesnt feel like working with shitty people like satriani its all good. hiphop is the greatest genre of the past 20 years, along with other electronic orientated music (imo). theyre not low level musicians. i put people like rza miles above haggar, satriani and whoever else you mentioned
he has collabed with brian eno, depeche mode, tricky, among others. theyre pretty popular. so there
oh yeah lets not forget hes worked with ian mackaye
DUDE. IAN MACKAYE
