Saturday question #41: Favourite holiday?

This is going to be the last one in series of somewhat normal Saturday questions. Since we're approaching the end of the year and the end of the decade, the remaining SQs until the end of 2009 will be lists, lists and nothing but lists of things. Psyched? Ten years gone so fast? Yup, I assume so.
Until then, a generic one, given that most of the world will be celebrating something during the next 3 months. What is your favourite holiday and why? Anything goes - from worldwide holidays to national ones, from religious celebrations to something you and your friends celebrate for reasons not known to general public.
For those who don't know: Saturday questions are a weekly meme on Invisible Movement where the site visitors get their own say. The questions are of a broad range, some of them are directly connected to the site subject and music, some are wonderfully irrelevant and some are very random. This is just a little way for everyone to interact, especially when it comes to people who don't visit the forum.

Halloween's my favorite because I get to have fun with costumes and friends. I have a party at my place every year
I don't celebrate many holidays, but I have to agree with Xpld: Suuuuuummertime! No college (though studying for September exams), going to the beach every day, going out at least thrice a week, and sometimes there's even holidays on summer, so holidays during holidays? that's just awesome.
I love a bit of Halloween and Christmas. I love Halloween because of being able to dress up as anything. I know I can do that anytime I want, but it's just different on Halloween. Candy is nice. I love Christmas for the family time.
