In an interview for Australian website Kill Your Stereo that came after an announcement of him touring down there, Omar Rodriguez Lopez was asked about how he met John and he revealed a story according to which he wasn’t even aware of whom the lover of his music and Louis Benoit [sic] films that visited a De Facto club show was. This is sure an interesting read!

Want The Empyrean and nine other albums at the price of one?

The Sound Supply October 23, 2012 1 Response

The Sound Supply is an exciting new startup offering ten albums at the price of one, periodically. Due to an error in mailbox organisation, we’re a bit late to their fifth “drop” that includes The Empyrean. But if you’re reading this on the day it was published – it’s not late, go and grab the masterpiece if you don’t have it yet and get nine other albums to get to know some new artists!

If you have not heard the new full-length album yet; you might as well pop to JF’s site now and get yourself a copy as the downloads have been released and everything else appears to be in stock. Prepare yourselves for a wild ride, but make sure you aren’t holding onto anything as this should totally carry you away.

As a part of an his interview for NRGM.fi, just like on many other recent occasions; Omar Rodriguez-Lopez was asked about his work with John and if the maestro has a big ego. Omar denied it and shared some interesting details on how, well, cooking might lead to cooking something up on a synth. Short, but delicious; consider this to be your Sunday dinner dessert.

Ratiug acapella

PBX Funicular Intaglio Zone Japanese CD with the boklet, mini-poster etc. September 13, 2012 39 Responses

The gorgeous acapella version of Ratiug is here. Sadly, it appears only on the Japanese edition of PBX, but that doesn’t mean the rest of us should not be enjoying it; and/or eventually purchase that edition of the album. There’s a whole choir of uh…Johns on this one and a badass rap by Kinetic 9.
