Light from the sun wallpaper for visitors of I-M.net

It’s been three months since the last wallpaper. OK, a couple of days more. And given that it’s summer in the northern hemisphere, how about a sunlight light from the sun wallpaper? This one’s a bit different, but it does have a lot in common to the “almost-cataclysmic one from May. Enjoy! The screen resolution this wallpaper was indended for is 1280×1024, but it’s also available in 800×600, 1024×768, 1280×800, 1280×960 1440×900, 1600×1200, 1680×1050 and 1900×1200. • Saturday Question #26 – What do you expect from RHCP’s return to studio?

The 26th Saturday question is on. Since there was too much hype in the last ten days or so, well, the quiet Saturdays had to give in to that hype as well. Then again, this week’s question is being asked by a site visitor (an awesome one, for that matter). So, yes, it’s about RHCP jamming again and woulda coulda shoulda kind of stuff. Tatiana asks: What kind of a new album do you expect from RHCP once they return to studio in October? A rock one, a more melodic BTW-like one, a funk one or something completely different? For previous Saturday questions, click here.

  • Navarro: Frusciante “f__king good” and “awesome”

For those of you who follow Invisible Movement on Twitter, this might not be that new, but for everyone else, it probably will be. Maybe, though, you remember that four years ago; Dave Navarro seemed pretty enthusiastic when asked if there’s a chance he could get John on stage with Camp Freddy. In July this year, Navarro mentioned finally getting a copy of BSSM (perhaps making a clever pun on the never-having-listened-to-One-Hot-Minute story that media washed their mouth with so many times) and his reaction was, as it can be read here, that Frusciante is fucking REALLY fucking good!. Weeks later, he posted a link to a video clip that…

  • John has been supportive of Chickenfoot, Chad says

In the huge soup of news regarding Chickenfoot tour and a bunch of things Chad Smith has said regarding Red Hot Chili Peppers’ future, this lengthy article caught my attention and I guess this excerpt will catch your attention, too. Smith has an eye on October, when the Chili Peppers will reconvene to prepare for a new album and tour. His fellow Chili Peppers have been supportive of his side project, says Smith — particularly guitarist and Van Halen aficionado John Frusciante. To everyone who saw the statements from the MusicRadar podcast as the ultimate expression of hatred; given that this was probably one of the two things in that…

  • Even more press reactions on RHCP jamming again

A couple more days have gone by and the media is still picking on the Billboard article about RHCP going to jam in October, during the breaks between Chad Smith’s commitments with Chickenfoot and Meatbeats. It’s pretty interesting to follow this, given that some people are really ecstatic to the point where it’s scary, that some are amused and that there are even those writing in all caps and wanting to kill the band. In fact, MTV was the most original of them all and they actually provided their news in an unusual format, with the full-length Californication video clip attached to it (before you ask: no, you won’t get…

  • Press reactions on the most recent RHCP news and a playlist

There’s nothing officially said by the rest of the RHCP after Chad Smith told Billboard they’re going back to their usual jamming in October last Friday. However, this was apparently distributed to all news agencies, as media is totally mad about it and us who get news alerts and clippings can only curse the day we were born. So, for all of you, here’s a compilation of these news items. I think it’s interesting to see how each site worded it, and some of them have included some videos and photos that you can enjoy and rewind your memories; while some others still use agency photos from the last century.…

  • Michael Lang’s plans for 40-year-anniversary Woodstock go down the drain

Michael Lang, the executive producer of the original Woodstock Festival, gave up on his original wish to organise a 40-year-anniversary of the original festival and link it to the “Climate Week”, which takes place between 20th and 26th September. So, yes, in the year of recession, that’s another event that’s not going to happen. As he explained, it’s a “very tough year for this stuff”. It’s more around the issue than the date for me. The most interesting thing about doing it in September was that it was tied to Climate Week. Should another issue emerge and it makes sense for us to do it then we’ll do it. It…

  • Saturday question #25 – Oddshow

Welcome to August! Here’s the 25th round of Saturday questions. We already had a lot of questions related to imaginary bands, festivals, tours et cetera…but this is a different spin. You have the supergroup, you have the tour, you have currated a festival…and now, let’s set a special, secret show in a totally odd place. What incredibly odd place would you play a live show at? Anything goes – from real places to virtual worlds. And this continues onto the last week’s brain tickle. For previous Saturday questions, click here.

  • Chad Smith’s interview on RHCP’s October return in Billboard

In a series of Chad Smith’s interviews regarding the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ future, this one probably looks more optimistic than any posted beforehand. So, I think it makes me smile and since we all know that we’re soon going to read the full version of John’s interview with THC, this can only put everyone in a good mood, don’t you think? Here’s an excerpt that’s most relevant, you can read the whole article, which also concerns Chickenfoot and Chad Smith’s Boombastic Meatbeats over there on Billboard. “That’s the plan,” Smith tells Billboard.com, noting that what was announced as a one-year break turned into two for the quartet after touring…

  • No Speed Dealer Moms live…at least until further notice

For the past couple of days, I received quite a lot of emails from all of you who had tickets to the Bang Fest. I am sorry that there couldn’t have been a response beforehand (and I feel quite embarrassed for having emailed the organisers twice); just imagine how it was for them – probably much harder than it was for anyone else. So, the news is: Aaron and John have decided to keep Speed Dealer Moms in the studio for now; so there will be no live show at this stage.. However, Bang Face 69 on 28 Aug will be a free event for the Hard Crew and feature…
