You’re welcome to contribute video to this project. But please, read this first.

Do not send anything that’s not yours or things you don’t know the source of. I don’t want to deal with people who didn’t give you a permission to publish their video material.

If possible, please, pretty please, send the original files over, uncompressed. There are many file sharing services that allow this and, if you’re on slow internet connection or have limited bandwidth, you can send them to my postal address and I’ll take care of it.

When recording something, if you’re using a digital camera, do not rotate it by 90 degrees. It makes things worse for the person who’s editing your video. And it does not make sense to do so.

When recording/capturing something, if your video capturing/recording device and memory allow it, try to capture whole songs/interviews/whatever.

Videos under 320×240 are usually of poor quality and too tiny for today’s standard. same goes for the most of .3gp files, recorded with older mobile phones. I assume there might be exceptions, but please try to avoid those. If your video capturing or recording device can set resolution to 640×480, PAL or NTSC, that would be great.

Videos under 30 seconds should be avoided as well, unless it’s a snippet of some interview or a commercial.
