I was getting news on this before, but I didn't know if I should put it online or not, as it seemed to be bogus, but...looks like it's true. John will perform at a MusicaRes event tomorrow, at the Henry Fonda Theatre.
On this page you will find a video clip where he's rehearsing with Victor Indrizzo, Vincent Jones, Martyn LeNoble, Josh Klinghoffer and Dave Gahan. The "band" is apparently Gahan's All Star Band. You will need QuickTime player to watch it.

Obviously, the actual event, although not listed on the MusicaRes site, is taking place later today.
