John's Myspace page was updated tonight, too. There's a stream of Unreachable added to the top of the songs in the music player, the song is really long, 6:11, and the instrumental part of it really does provide an unusual experience, even through mere ol' iPod earphones. There are two new b&w images as well.
As said by the officials:
Unreachable is the third track off John Frusciante's new solo album The Empyrean which comes out Worldwide on January 20th via Record Collection. Unreachable was produced by John Frusciante and features John on vocals, guitars and treatments, Josh Klinghoffer on electric piano and Flea on bass. We will not be pre-releasing any more material off The Empyrean.
So, I assume you know where to go and where to go afterwards. The comments on the Myspace entry seem to be disabled, but you can give kudos.
Update: Adam Friend has figured out the chords by the speed of light and you can have a look at them in this thread.
Update #2: I have tried to transcribe this song, any suggestions are more than welcome. Please, do not laugh if there's an epic FAIL, English is not my first language.

Second, i just have to say, this song....i was so happy to be able to hear it today, so exited like a kid trying out something forbidden (as the album is yet to come)but as i listen to it, on and on, this emotion came over me...John gets right to the bottom of your soul, straight forward,the music takes you away from the material world, and when you feel the place you are at, it makes you wanna cry....so yes, this song makes me sad, but i am happy for it...and i'm sure that many feel that way
