Record Collection Music have asked me to pass this on to everyone, so please do read before you panic.
The Empyrean's US physical release date has been pushed to January 27th. There was an unavoidable manufacturing error at the duplication plant and as a result, American’s are going to have to wait another week to buy the physical version of John Frusciante's new album (Vinyl and CD). Digitally, you will be able to download The Empyrean worldwide on January 20th, as scheduled.

What a shame... Does this apply to the european versions too??
So that means im in England, but cuz I bought an American version...im basically gonna be screwed for a week.

I was under the impression that only vinyls were delayed. I got an email stating that my copy is shipping this week... hopefully that is still the case. Otherwise, I think I'll go mad...
aww, im in canada, so i guess this applys to me too:( i guess i will just have to wait another week.
Why am i not surprised...it seems that record collection has been doing this since the "six in six months" time. JF is not being respected totally by this company. It's not like they are responsible for thousands of artists, like warner bros....just my thoughts....historically speaking, I think it's great that Japan, which was inhumanely ravaged by atomic war, gets this album first. John is spreading love towards them.

I live in UK and got a mail from Merch L saying the CD was posted yesterday
I saw conflicting news about the album's actual release date so the clarification is much appreciated. I was looking forward to buying it and listening to it on my drive up to Vermont on Tuesday! Oh well. I can wait another week! Thanks for the update, Iva.
I dont want to piss people off who are paciantly waiting for this album but i am listening to it now, to me its a very orcestral album, i picked it up on the 17th in Australia and have listend to it 3 times in full now, i am realy enjoying before the beginning its a 9 minuet 9 second instramental it starts so quiet you can bearly hear it, i think alot of you will have heaed unreachable its still nice to put it on with out dial up on you tube, my advice is just listen to it 10-20 times over the first week or two and absorb it like any other john album, and soon enough you will not remember what it was like not having such a beutiful thing in your life
