More news on Ibanez WH10 V2
“There’s nothing like the sound of a classic wah pedal to squeeze every ounce of expression out of a screaming solo or rhythm part. The Ibanez WH10V2 was a hit when it was first released in the ‘80s and now it’s back and even better.”
For everyone who was delighted and surprised when this website announced the news on Ibanez WH10’s resurection on Friday before anyone else did – this is for you.
The WH10 V2 already has its own page on Ibanez’s website, you can visit it here for all the specs.
Also, these two websites already have it for pre-order:
ZZsounds.com
SameDayMusic.com
And here is the response to the most of the forum speculations from the staff member:
This pedal is the exact same circuit as the last one. Everything on it is exactly the same. There was no upgrades or downgrades to the circuit. Since I was on the project and I am such a die hard fan of the pedal I made sure it was right. The only difference is the case is metal, not plastic. There is one more difference and that is the footswitch. Those old ones are not available anymore so that had to be changed but it has zero effect on the sound of the pedal. The pedal is not true bypass, because, again, I wanted to make sure it was as close to the original as possible. True bypass may seem like an upgrade to some but if you’re a WH10 freak like me it would take away from this reissue. I know Wilson makes that expensive copy of the WH10 but it’s got all these upgrades. I don’t want upgrades I want the same. Anyone else who wants the same will love this pedal.
So, though the exact date this baby will be out is unknown, you can already pre-order it and wait patiently.
