Toni Oswald, John's friend and former girlfriend, one half of the music project The Diary Of Ic Explura, has released some stills from her 1992 film, Desert In Shape to public; and made an announcement via her Myspace.
After some deliberation, I have decided to put up some stills online from the film I made in the early 90s called Desert In The Shape. It stars Clara Balzary, myself, John Frusciante, and Matt Polish. It was filmed by my friend, the painter Greg Gibbs and features music by John. A photo from the film was used as the cover of his record Niandra La Des and Usually Just a T-Shirt. The film has never been released but has been shown in a couple of galleries and things like that~ here are some stills my boyfriend Max Davies uploaded for me..cheers everyone!

could someone tell me what The Diary Of Ic Explura is?
It's a music project by Toni Oswald and Josh Klinghoffer, from 2006. They have an album titled "Loveletter To The Transformer". Ic Explura is Toni's pen name.
do u know if i can buy this or even download it? i'd love 2 hear what it sounds like!
I love the look of these stills. Toni looks just like Clara Bow or one of those other famous actresses from the silent film/1920's era. I'm not sure what form the finished product took, but I imagine that it would work really well as a silent film shot in black and white, and just using subtitles and the background music to tell the story. Much like the original, grainy black & white reel-films of that era.
I need to see this movie, damn!
