Perry Farrell’s new band, Satellite Party, will release it first album, “Ultra Payloaded,” May 15 via Columbia. As first reported here in November, the band will make its live debut Monday (Jan. 15) as part of ESPN Winter X Games in Aspen, Colo.

Artists featured on the album include New Order’s Peter Hook, Fergie (who sings on “Dogstar” and the title cut), Red Hot Chili Peppers principals Flea and John Frusciante and composer Harry Gregson-Williams, who led a 30-piece orchestra on five songs.

Tracks due for inclusion are “Kinky,” “Wish Upon a Dog Star,” “Celebration” and “The Revolution Solution,” a revamped version of a song Farrell previously recorded with Thievery Corporation. “Ultra Payloaded” also includes a song based around an unreleased Jim Morrison vocal track dubbed ‘Woman in the Window.”

“There’s a story attached to the music,” he told Billboard.com. “This group of people, who call themselves the Solutionists, try to create a myth. It’s the idea of, by putting together their own parties and their own media hub on the Internet, they begin to redesign and come up with solutions for the world.”
