K’Naan: John Frusciante is just incredible
Somali-Canadian musician and poet K’naan was featured in The Independent’s section “My Fantasy Band”. He picked John as his fantasy band’s guitar player and here is why.
He’s the guitarist for Red Hot Chili Peppers and I think he’s just incredible. His melodics are always great and I like how his sustain pedal always creates a little bit more of an extended dream. I don’t remember hearing anything I didn’t like from him.
The rest of K’Naan’s band would be the late Nina Simone and Fela Kuti, as well as two living musicians – Idris Muhammed and Markéta Irglová. You should read the entire article to see why. Even though he might not be up to date, he came up with a very interesting selection.
