Ramones 2003 Tribute Gets a Double Vinyl Release!
The indie label Enjoy the Ride records, in associations with Sony Music, has released the 2003 Ramones Tribute Album, We Are a Happy Family, in vinyl. There are two variants of the double LP – regular, limited to 1250 copies and “zombie green” limited to 750 copies.
Why does this matter? Because John is on what used to be the hidden track on the CD version and sings a hauntingly beautiful rendition of Today Your Love, Tomorrow the World off the first Ramones’ record, complete with the original lyrics – Nazi baby as opposed to shock trooper. On top of that, the album opener is a classic-lineup Red Hot Chili Peppers cover of Havana Affair – like the one they sung at numerous live shows, but done in studio.
This is the 1st vinyl release for the album, which is otherwise not available to download or stream on any major digital music service.
This pressing is limited to 2000 copies with 1250 copies pressed on Zombie Green and 750 copies pressed on Red/White/Blue Swirl, an ETR webstore exclusive.
