It seems that the prolific John Frusciante’s relationship with Fugazi extends beyond his side project known as Ataxia (whose first EP was recently released). On this, his latest solo EP, he calls on Ian Mackaye for production assistance and enlists Jerry Busher, Fugazi roadie turned drummer, to beat the skins. Much like the Ataxia EP, the four songs on this disc can’t help but highlight Frusciante’s unmistakable guitar style and therefore could almost be mistaken for new Chili Peppers material.
