Nabil of Blur Photo has uploaded a whole photo session he did with John in November (or at least the EXIF data on one of the photos says it was November) and it can be viewed here.

Photos are both black and white and colour; and the scenery is quite interesting and moving. The photographer also states that John Frusciante is his favourite musician, so that probably makes the whole experience even more personal.

Thanks to Lara, for the heads-up. Tip: if the above link doesn't work for you, go to Blur Photo and select "01".

wow, so beautiful.. thanks a lot!

  2. Anne says:

At first he looked...old to me. But I realize that it is in a good way, one where he looks wise and calm, and I like it a lot. I think he looks how he feels right now, and how he wants us to see him.

  3. iago says:

he's back using weird shoes like in 90s! good pictures

  4. Aaron says:

    cut the beard.

otherwise than that he seems... godly?

that seems the best way to describe him.

After listening to unreachable like 300,000 times i have a fair estimate on how the rest of the album will go. I sure hope it delivers!

    peace y'all :)

  10. john says:

anyone else think that john look like he may be using again?

    • DoctorZod says:

It really makes me feel sad, but to me it does look like he is using again ... I mean he looks ill and tired yet just on the last chili tour he looks so full of life

  11. DoctorZod says:

Having said that I have just listened to the 3 music radar audio Interviews for The Empyrean album and John sounds very clear minded ... he certainly sounds so level headed and in love with the music, not all how you would guess someone would sound in the depths of a Heroin addiction.

    • frankie says:

i don't think he's using again - if you're on heroin, you look and act much differently. same goes for cocaine.
i do think though that he looks ill and worn out--that's just speculation, but it might be an alcohol problem.
i do know a bunch of alcoholics and they have the same "look" as he does at the moment and they all look twice as old as they really are.
his energy and aura have definitely changed. much less lively.

I think John Frusciante is one of the most fasinating musicans out there. He shows such an energy on stage and in all of his recordings, as a solo artist and band member. Every time I listen to a new record its totally different, and so is his image as a person. I hope Red Hot Chili Peppers live on dispite this hiatus/break. Personally I love them and Im such a fan, I dont want them to stop forever. Even if they do a last tour, Id pay to see them and bid them farewell and they have done so much for music. There life story is amazing and should maybe be in the public eye a little more as people who dont really listen to them much can see the "REAL PEPPERS". John Frusciante is alot older than the rest, so I can see him carrying on for many many years to come! His new album is the best solo album, by far! Even my mom thinks hes amazing now, she listened to him before and didnt really like his abstract style (on the To record Water for 10 Days album), but this new album has deffinatly and will change alot of peoples attitudes to him in a very good way. Anyways I have to go! email me if you like. nickbevan@hotmail.co.uk
My band is also probably the British version of the Peppers, myspace.com/randomoxfordrock
    Thanks for listening.
