John to play with Omar in London and more…
Yet again, for the second and maybe not only the second time this year (read on for further explanation), people in United Kingdom and those who can make it to there will be fortunate enough to see John Frusciante live, as one of the 5 people in Omar Rodriguez-Lopez’ s quintet. The quintet will be performing all over Europe during this month, but, unfortunately, probably since the rest of Europe is not attractive enough or due to his busy schedule, John won’t be performing with them.
According to an unknown source quotted on 4th Dimension fanclub website, John will be joining Omar Rodriguez-Lopez’s quintet on Dec 5th 2005 in London, at 93 Feet East, 150 Brick Lane. The doors will be opened at 7pm. That’s 19h for those who use comfortable 24-hour-time.
Among the other members of the quartet are Makoto Kawabata and Charles Hayward.

Some of the very same performers will also perform with Michael Rother (as seen on his website, with the date 1st November 2005):
Michael Rother will appear in concert on 04 December 2005 at the “All Tomorrow’s Parties” festival in Camber Sands/England. The Mars Volta who curate this edition of ATP have invited Michael Rother to participate. He will be supported by special guests: the musicians Benjamin Curtis (The Secret Machines) and Josh Klinghoffer (John Frusciante/Beck/PJ Harvey) as well as by the audio-visual artists Thomas Beckmann and VJ Hedgemann. Omar Rodriguez-Lopez and Cedric Bixler-Zavala (The Mars Volta) will join Michael Rother for a jam at ATP.
Since it’s one day before the scheduled event and knowing how things were in the past, this MIGHT include John, even though he’s not on the list. He’ll most likely be at least their guest, supporting them from the audience if not also playing with them.
