Site updates

Site updates, 06th June 2006

(continuing, as I promised a couple of days ago…)
Isn’t today an extremely funny calendar date?

New layout! Before anyone accuses me of copying the official RHCP site…I had made my first layout with film strips in 2002. I love film strips. Anyway, this layout should be more dial-up-friendly (less scripts, less images), as well as more Firefox and Opera-friendly (tested on the newer versions of both of those browsers). As usual, the recommended screen resolution is 1024×768, although the site works in 800×600 as well.

Since layouts usually mean some additional inspiration for graphics, check the new wallpaper featuring John’s writing from the Stadium Arcadium special edition black box and two recent photos.

Fans’ covers are working now. I apologise for the inconvinience. Also, the stupid typo in the videos section is fixed. Of course that you can send me video clips ripped from TV and those you filmed yourself. Many thanks to Margarida who noticed one of my classical late-night-nonsense-mistakes.

Now, on to photos, video and audio. Freshest first…and that would be the two most recent covers of How Deep Is Your Love, one performed last night at the Pink Pop festival and one performed on Saturday at Rock in Rio festival. Many thanks to wonderful Adam from UK who hooked me up with the first one right after the stream of the show was sown on TV. Videos of these coming soon as well. How about the covers done in Madrid and Barcelona? I have no idea if anyone recorded those, sorry. Anyway, there were one How Deep Is Your Love, one I Feel Love and one For Emily (Wherever I May Find Her. If I ever come accross them, they will be on the site.

There’s new stuff from the NASCAR Nextel All Star Challenge held on 20th May in USA. Check the awesome photos by Jon Stotler and also the video clip of the end jam he recorded with his digital camera. I am currently searching the internet for the pre-show interview since I saw some screencaps of it, but no success yet. If you have this, please email me.

The video clip of For Emily (Wherever I May Find Her) from the 29th April show in Milano has been re-uploaded, since many people were complaining about bad audio quality. I apologise for that, there was an issue with somesettings on my new computer, it worked properly now that I extracted the clip for the second time. The intro and outro jams for the same show are now available as well, so visit this page to download them.

Check back tomorrow for the scans + the interview from Total Guitar, the improved and updated scans from Guitar World and the scans from 1st June issue of Rolling Stone (USA edition)….and even more than that. It’s just impossible to upload and link everything at once.
