John’s little blooper at T In The Park this weekend…
I am away from home, so the media updates will be slightly late (I am coming back on 20th July in the evening), but here are some news clippings about RHCP’s performance at T In The Park on Saturday.
Courier says:
Saturday headliners Red Hot Chili Peppers declared it their best-ever festival experience praised the fans.
“I really want to thank you people for staying here to watch us play in that rain. You are all wonderful,” lead singer Anthony Kiedis said.
In their first major UK show since the release of double album Stadium Arcadium, the Chilis played songs from the album, including singles Dani California and Tell Me Baby.
The audience really came to life, though, with old favourites My Friends and Californication, before the surreal sound of guitarist John Frusciante’s solo rendition, including an amazing falsetto vocal, of the Bee Gees’ How Deep Is Your Love?

Glasgow Sunday Mail says:
Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante revealed the band plan to return to Scotland next year – but admitted he had no idea where he was.
The American star called his girlfriend and told her he was in GLASGOW.
John said: “Somebody just told me a few moments ago that this was Kinross. I didn’t know that. I thought I was in Glasgow.” He added: “We’re going to be touring for another year and I’d like to return to Scotland next summer and play another big stadium show.”
