An unusual tour rumour
The concert/production organisation Komuna is negotiating with the management of the band Red Hot Chili Peppers about a concert they could hold in Belgrade in 2007. In order not to repeat the last year’s story with the Rolling Stones, who were announced too early but didn’t hold the concert [EXPLANATION: it was supposed to be the last show of the tour leg cancelled when Keith Richards fell from the tree], Maksa ÄŒatović, the CEO of Komuna is being careful with his promises.
“The negotiations are going on and until the end of the month we will know if we’ve managed to get a show on their European tour which will have only 12 concerts. We’ve found the common ground already. We’ve made a deal about all the requirements, it’s just a question which 12 cities they will pick for their this year’s tour. if they add more dates, Belgrade will definitely be among them. Given that RHCP often prefer festivals to their own shows [WHAT???], if needed we shall make them a festival in Belgrade”, ÄŒatović says.
