Site updates, 18th February 2008
The updates for the week are here. As it’s the practice in the most of cases, here’s a short summary and, for everything else, continue reading.
- One new set of magazine scans
- Two new random cuttings
- One-year-worth of press photos
- One magazine article
- One interview transcript
- Three album reviews
- One audio interview
- One cover song from 1998
- Two new video clips
Magazine scans
Guitar World, July 2006 – as some people requested so, I have added the other article from this magazine, the one where Flea is talking about the history of RHCP (and says many nice things about John as well). The names of other files have changed to suit the new nomenclature that already exists in the most of other directories (with year and month in the filename, that is).
Also, there are two new bits in the 2006 mix.
Other gallery updates
The press gallery from 2005 is up. Just like the 2007 one, it contains press photos of events and concerts, as well as two backstage pics from making of two songs with Glenn Hughes, which his fan site allowed people to use. Other press galleries will be back soon.
Articles

A review of Ataxia’s Automatic Writing from Rock Mag – thanks to Caroline once again
Interview transcripts
I’m proud to present you an interview Cousin Creep did with John in Melbourne in 2000, mostly focusing on recording BSSM and Californication. One of my favourites ever and props to the author for having done it so perfectly and replied to me about including it in the archive within a day, and…
Audio
…the same interview is also available as a listen-only file on the audio interviews page, with a download link, so you can get it directly from Interview Archive.
Also, one more crack in the fabric of the 1998 covers has been packed, once again thanks to Sven (the guy, not the horny black sheep)
Videos
Due to popular demand, I have ripped two little clips of John from the amateur DVD about RHCP and Foo Fighters touring together in 2000. The sound in the last two is awful and John only giggles and doesn’t really say a thing, but you’ll get so see some amazing yoga movements and a very pretty lady, so don’t complain.
