Site updates, 20th March 2008
This update was strategically delayed for one simple reason: 750 000 visitors milestone. I thought it would be a nice non-coincidence.
As usual, the brief list of updates is here, and you need to load the separate news item page for a detailed description. There will probably be one more update in a couple of days, as I promised some people some certain audio and video, but today it’s a zeitnot, so…later.
- The list of articles that need to be typed up has been made, in case you’d like to help out.
- Seven sets of live photographs
- Two sets of magazine scans
- Two sets of screencaps/stills
- 50 wallpapers made by a very inspired fan
- One new painting by Tuija Myllynen
- Three new magazine articles
- The default poll has been replaced, as thou wanna…
The Volunteer Files
As I’ve said in the previous update, I compiled a list of the articles that still need to be typed out. If you’re interested in typing out any of them, do contact me so I could assign it to you and take it off the list.

A bunch of fan-made wallpapers!
Leni, a long-term friend of Invisible Movement from Argentina has been creating really nice-looking, yet simplistic John wallpapers for a long period of time now. Since he’s probably made more wallpapers than all the other wallpaper-contributors together, now he has his own section in the fanart gallery: click here to see all of Leni’s wallpapers. As he creates more, this gallery will be updated.
*The six wallpapers that used to be in the general fans’ wallpapers gallery have been moved into this newly-created one as well.
A fantastic art piece
Many people commented on Tuija Myllynen’s wonderful piece of art, inspired by the photo Dmitri Fedoruk took in Vienna in 2006. So, for all of you who loved it, one more piece by Tuija has been added to the gallery, have a look and don’t forget to click on the link below image to see it in its full beauty.
Magazine articles
Rolling Stone, 07th April 1999
Electronic Musician, 01st January 2005
Los Angeles Times, 18th June 2006
All of the above are lengthy reads, from three different eras, the first and third one being about the whole band and the second one being a very detailed interview with John regarding his recording techniques.
New poll
As per Benhood’s suggestion, I have changed the poll in the sidebar. As 50% of the site visitors have, either way, voted that what they’re expecting in 2008 is a new solo effort by John; the new poll is about that. What direction do you think that album will follow?
