Site updates, 08th August 2008

Before the updates are listed and before you all glue yourselves in front of the TV and leave me alone for two weeks; I would like to ask you guys if the site seems significantly faster for you after the server upgrade last week (apart from the little issue it had in the morning hours today – I’m talking about the short-term screwups it had before).

Magazine scans
Kerrang, 10th February 2001, thanks to Gizem. This would be the article where Kerrang people are not as tough as they usually are, they’re calling John on the phone, actually addressing him as “sir” and asking him question about his third solo album. However, some of the usual references to what they call madness are still inevitable. Gah.

Album artwork scans
Thanks to Janis, scans of Estrus EP artwork have been updated, they now have a decent resolution and you can find them here.

Traditional art
Clémence from France has a very interesting somewhat manga drawing style and two interesting cartoons/drawings of John of past and present that she’d previosly posted at the forum can now be found in the appropriate gallery.

Fans’ wallpapers
Leni was so kind to make four more simplistic and usable wallpapers, and they have been added to the gallery made just for them.

Videos
A video from George Clinton’s birthday party in an iPod and computer-ready format is available in the interview videos 2005-2008 section.

Audio
Two files that used to be on the site before and somehow vanished; recordings of So Would’ve I and a cover of Joy Division’s New Dawn Fades, from the press-only solo show on 30th January 2001 in Hamburg; are up again and you can find them here. More 2001 delights coming soon, as per request.

Magazine articles
Two magazine articles have been typed out…unfortunately, one of them by two people at once, as one didn’t know that the other one was typing it out.
