Please Your Ears is back!
As many people explained that they cannot listen to other mp3 players at work or school; the “Please Your Ears” mp3 player is back. It does not contain everything it contained when it was remotely hosted, but I’m in the process of uploading mp3s and once it’s done, it will contain almost all the shows it previously did. Also, the player is currently triggered via Shadowbox media viewer, just like the images in news item and on pages. If you close the Shadowbox, music will stop playing, as simple as that.
Transcript of the Indie 103.1 interview
As promised, I’ve finished transcripting John’s most recent audio interview, and you can see it here.
Given that a majority of things from the misc. articles’ section were transcripts, they now have a page of their own.
An open call for people who’d like to transcribe other audio interviews
Oh yes, transcripts. They’re a nice thing, as they’re good for finding quotes to use during research, for forum signatures or simply for an injection of motivation. So, this is the time to transcribe audio and video interviews, starting with audio first. If you would like to help, go to the audio interviews and check out which ones do not have a transcript yet, then contact me if you’d like to transcribe them.
If that’s not your thing, yet you’d give a go helping with something else, there’s always the volunteer checklist.
One more translation for the GLOBAL project
In case you people aren’t familiar with Singhalese/Sinhala, it is one of two languages spoken on Sri Lanka. And fabulous April Heenatigalle translated Invisible Movement, the song, into this language. It’s currently displayed using Latin alphabet, but it’ll soon be displayed in traditional alphabet. So, ladies and gentlemen, Nopenenna Chalanaya!
02nd July 2005 Las Vegas videos are back
Due to popular demand, Las Vegas 02nd July 2005 videos are back; even though the video section reorganisation hasn’t taken place yet. Enjoy them!
Magazine scans
Crossbeat, July 1992 …thanks to Gizem. I think many of you will love this set.
Live photography
18th and 15th April 2008, Sydney – by Renee Sant. This set of photos contains so many emotions, as Renee got her dream fullfilled at the mere age of 17 already. You can probably guess what that was, but if you aren’t that good with guesses, just click and look.
Jennifer Ruidera’s photos from 04th September have been updated, and there are two of them now. Both in high-quality and perfectly done.
Traditional Art
Another painting by Conor Todd has been added to the traditional art page.
Temporary download page for the internet album
Given that John’s official site has been down for two months and that there will ALWAYS be scammers who would use people’s lack of information on this to sell them the actual album; I put the internet album online until further notice, so people could do what they should be doing with it: download it for free and enjoy. If you’re amongst those who have not listened to this 2001-released gem yet, get it here and remember not to commercially distribute it.
Discography
The page with information on the internet album is back online.
Song Lyrics correction
Given that the piece of paper with half of it written was recently sold on eBay and that the seller was so nice to forward photos of the paper to people who were interested, corrections were made to Mascara. The first half of the song is now 100% correct, for the first time ever since people started transcribing John’s songs.
Readers’ covers
Two new readers’ covers have been added to the appropriate page. Both of them are by Safari, one is of Ascension and the other one of The Past Recedes…give them a listen.
Readers’ music pages
Two links have been added to the readers’ music pages directory. Check out Safari and Robert Carrillo.
