Missing Ataxia’s AWII in your collection? It’s been reissued, go get it!
Over the course of the last 12 months, many people wrote to Invisible Movement asking where they could buy the (apparently elusive) second Ataxia album, AWII. Knowing that back in the days, the number of physical copies of the album was pretty small, the possiblity of reissue probably wasn’t that big. However, it appears that EMI music Europe have reissued the album and that it can be purchased again! According to people who already got it from the second batch, the packing is better and the pressing was done in 2009, rather than 2007. So, if you never got a hold of AWII, you can get it from Amazon.co.uk as…

Celebrating I-M.net’s 5th nameday and 1 500 000 visitors with videos – Part 2
As said earlier today, 13th February happened to be the fifth anniversary of purchasing this domain name and starting a crash course in frankensteining the mammoths, washing this thing with a toothbrush for babies et cetera. And, to celebrate that occasion and one million and five thousand hundredth visitor to the site sometime today, we’re having a V-day. Video, not things commonly glued to buildings on fire, don’t worry. These two videos are not full clips, each one is 3 minutes long and they’re both from 02nd February 2004, from one of the two Ataxia shows, also known as Performance 3. Due to the memory of cameras in early 2004,…

Michael Tanner’s Q & A with Ryan Hewitt regarding Ataxia
Michael Tanner, a friend of Invisible Movement’s owner and a very talented and promising young musician, did a little Q & A with Ryan Hewitt regarding Ataxia’s recording sessions. Ryan was incredibly kind to respond to all the questions and, even though some things are the same as those from the Tape Op interview, some others are different and there are some things you might not have known about otherwise. So, it’s a good read. Many thanks to Michael for having shared his own research. Generally, what was the Recording Setup like (Console, Outboard Gear, Tape Recorder, Tape Speed, Micing, Amps..)? Recorded at Sunset Sound on a Neve 8088. Used…

An Ataxia Reunion Petition has been launched!
The story started on 17th March, when Richee, an avid I-M.net reader since the very beginning has posted his question to Joe Lally. Surprisingly (or not), it encouraged other people to ask the same and, after the interview with Joe has been completed, the teams behind Invisible Movement, JKDN and Stonecoldbush.com came up with this original idea, and the ladies of JKDN, being the people known for reacting very fast, acquired a domain name and started gathering signatures. So, seriously, what is this about? It’s about you and how much you would like to see Ataxia reunited and live, as 02nd February 2009 will mark the fifth anniversary of the…

John Frusciante’s Second Coming
This was kindly lifted from Undercover and written by Paul Cashmere. The second album in John Frusciante’s mammoth five album series will be released on August 10. The second album in the series ‘Automatic Writing’ will be released under the name Ataxia. It comes just two months after ‘The Will To Death’ was released in June by the Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist. Ataxia is a collaboration with Josh Klinghoffer (Bicycle Theif) and Joe Lally (Fugazi). “I became friends with the members of Fugazi in Spring of 1999,” John said in a statement. “They were my favorite band in the world and I was going to see them play live…
