According to Norwood Fisher, the band’s bassist who also toured with John during the 1997 Nuttstalk tour, recording Shakey Ground required a special vibe from the crew. Flea’s idea was that everyone should strip. “He was a real bastard about it, too. But it was OK. Everybody let their sacs hang loose.” Mr. Fisher also said: “John [Frusciante] is one of my favorite people in the universe, as well as Flea. In fact, all of them [the Red Hot Chili Peppers] are my brothers, I can’t wait to get on tour with all of them.
