Eminent British radio XFM, with help of its readers, has compiled a list of the Top 1000 Songs Of All The Time and it’s most entirely made out of rock and alternative music; which isn’t a big surprise given who their listeners are.
Here are all the songs that made the list, listed by albums, as it is more convinient that way. Sadly, only one of them was not released as a single, the rest are all overplayed singles. Then again, the entire list, unless when the currently new and hip bands are mentioned, consists of overplayed singles.
From Mother’s Milk: Higher Ground
From BloodSugarSexMagik: Under The Bridge, Give It Away, Suck My Kiss, Breaking The Girl, Blood Sugar Sex Magik
From One Hot Minute Aeroplane*
From Beavis And Butthead Do America OST Love Rollercoaster*
From Californication Californication, Scar Tissue, Around The World, Otherside
From By The Way Can’t Stop, By The Way, Universally Speaking, The Zephyr Song
From Greatest Hits Fortune Faded
From Stadium Arcadium Dani California, Tell Me Baby
*Listing songs with other guitarists on them.
