There are a lot of mashups going around, so it was about time someone did another John one. The Generic DJ, an unnamed side project decided to mash up the maestro's signature instrumental Murderers with Black Eyed Peas' "My Humps". The result is there for you to check out. Ever thought that someone like Fergie could sing over JF's tones?
Either way, enjoy your Sunday with The Generic DJ's mashup: John Frusciante vs. Black Eyed Peas - "My Murderous Little Lumps".
If you like this, The Generic DJ project has more similar mashups.

this is just awfu!l... their are so many better mash ups out their combining frusc with descent artists and good music... they jus straight up murdered jf music by blending it with that nonsence commercial bullshit!
not news worthy at all!

here are a couple of more note worthy remixes i found on soundcloud.com
enjoy!
Those 2 remixes are awesome....nice job finding them! The Generic DJ one kind of sucks.
I love them too, thanks !
Here is another mash up that I really enjoy. It seems like the timing gets a little off at times, but the overall groove is beautiful. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P2hgEQHwjkk
I usually have an open mind but that was one of the worst Frusciante mash ups I have ever heard.
i played that expecting some sort of ridiculous compatibility but i couldn't make it past a minute. i dont mean to have a go at the invisible movement people, i just think that mash up was terrible!
I must be one of the few that actually liked this then, probably cos Black Eyed Peas are a guilty pleasure of mine, thanks for the heads up!
Hate
Epic!! My new favorite song! Sorry James Durbin....
I fucking hate black eyed peas. Who ever that made this should be ashamed for killing some awsome JF tunes with some pure crap song.
Without even going into the ethics of mixing John with the Black Eyed Peas, there are bits that are played over each other that are in different keys entirely...it just doesn't work on a musical level regardless of taste
i didn't hear anything that was in a different key. what parts are you referring to?
I like this one
Most other JF mashups give me headaches after 30 seconds... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ete1iJ4EXvc
WOW... what a horrible way to ruin a beautiful song... this is why I lost faith in today's music
TAKE THIS SHIT DOWN!!!! This is a disgrace to John
Don't be so negative! Remember, John is a big fan of Brandy and he is working with TruthHurts and RZA, so he is open to all kinds of great music and artists. I love Johnny F. as much as everyone here, but I also love great pop music that is just fun to dance to. My Humps isn't their best song, but don't tell me you don't want to kick it and dance when you hear "Let's Get it Started" or "Hey Mama". I wish John would work with someone like Will I. Am so that he can get his music out to a broader audience or see him coach a future star on American Idol but telling them to go for it and just let their voice sing out like he does. True emotion always shines through!!!
It's funny how many JF fans are so elitist, when Frusciante himself has colaborated with artists spanning genres from electronica to R&B to Pop. I pretty much love this mash-up.
I like Frusciante mash ups. I used a sample of his on my music. Don't get me wrong, I love R&B, Pop, Rap, House, etc. But this particular mash up is just not very good for my taste, or the taste of other Frusciante fans as I see.
This is The Generic DJ. Sorry to all you JF purists out there, but this mashup stemmed from a joke. Some friends and I once started jamming on Murderers in a living room, and when a person in the room heard the drum kick they thought it was BEP and started rapping over top... thus as a joke I made this. To be honest rarely do i make a mashup in good taste as I feel the entire genre is in poor taste (but it's damn fun to create). It wasn't intended to enhance John, he needs no enhancement. Thanks for listening, thanks for your feedback (both positive and negative), and thanks to invisible-movement for the good look!
This is painful. I actually like a decent amount of mashups, especially Jaydiohead, but this just wasn't good in my opinion.
just saw the post about it being a joke so that makes me feel better haha
