  • Celebrating I-M.net’s 6th “nameday”…with two shows!

As explained last year, Invisible Movement is a Sagittarius and it was “born” on 24th November 2004. However, the domain was registered more than seven months before that, as a project of this size required careful preparation. So, I like to say that it was conceived on 13th April 2004, thus making 13th April its nameday. And since the C-holiday and E-holiday aren’t celebrated on this website as not all the people in the world are of the same religious background, that’s a good excuse to have additional made-up holidays. On this 13th of April, you’re in for two treats (embarrassing typo fixed), just like last year. They’re identical, yet…

  • Happy New year 2010 and happy new decade!

HAPPY NEW YEAR to all visitors of Invisible Movement! Srećna Nova godina! Buon anno. I mean it and you can listen to it below. [xspf]_start(FALSE, ‘order=89&mode=2’)[/xspf] [xspf]_start(FALSE, ‘order=90&mode=2’)[/xspf] [xspf]_start(FALSE, ‘order=91&mode=2’)[/xspf] I’ll shut up now in all those languages and let you watch this beautiful video from the performance 12, one of the nicest gems that graced our ears in the noughties and a great way to start the noughteens with. On the 05th August of 2004, John played with his friend, the German legend Michael Rother (whose songs you totally have to buy – Katzenmusik album is breathtaking, so is the song Reiselust!) and Josh Klinghoffer jumped in, too. Beautiful,…

  • Random surprise once again – not just because!

So, last month there was a Random Sunday surprise just BECAUSE. This month, on the contrary, there’s a random surprise – not just because. And whatdoyaknow, it’s a 2001 solo show again, as John’s raw, acoustic solo performances are a beautiful thing to watch and listen. This one was held in Amsterdam, at Paradiso, on 08th February 2001. To view all thirty-one videos from this event, head over to the video archive and enjoy. Be happy, if nothing else, I’m sure all of you have someone who makes you smile often, even when they make you frown every now and then. Live, love and don’t let go. Please. ^_^ Want…

  • The “R” in Friday is for WallpapeRs and Reviews. RrRrReally!

Sticky caps in the title? Six days with no updates? Well, it’s quiet before the storm. Very quiet. All quiet on the western front and Remarque’s no longer alive to see it. All quiet on the eastern front and no one’s ever even written a book about it. All quiet on the north, all quiet on the south, so…I’d better shut my mouth and give you all a gift. This amazing, yet somewhat simplistic wallpaper, was created by Invisible Movement’s long term contributor, Leni, who’s one of the rare people who have been by the site’s side and by my side for almost five years now (and such people are…

  • Shush! Random Tuesday surprise, available for only 48 hours.

Some of you remember it, some of you missed it, some of you weren’t around at that time…a little more than one year ago, there was an awesome instrumental jam with four participants (John, Flea, Josh Klinghoffer and Stella Mozgawa) at the Troubadour in Los Angeles. The intro is available as audio, there are some videos of it. It was known that there was a video of the whole thing, but the taper did not want anyone to see it for personal reasons… …for the next 48 hours, you can, however, see the trailer on the forum. You have to be registered to see it. Please, click here or on…

  • Pssst! Random Sunday surprise just BECAUSE!

Friday was an AWESOME day for me and some others in oh so many ways. I thought I’d give you all a whole 2001 show to celebrate it, so you could have some awesomeness in your lives, too. And it’s a Sunday, so sit down and watch. Some of you know this show, some of you don’t, some of you even live close to the venue, in a city that’s err…a bit invaded by people from Balkans, though it’s in a totally different place. So, it’s John’s solo show in Toronto on 13th February 2001, at the Horseshoe Tavern. Here’s one of the videos as a little preview. To view…

  • Michael Rother would love to play live with John again

In an interview given to the Brisbane-based free newspaper, Rave, German virtuoso Michael Rother has stated that he’s considering performing live again and that he’s contacted some of his friends…very interesting friends, that is. “Next year I hope to perform live again. I will focus on performing solo and intend to present my favourite NEU! and Harmonia music and tracks from my solo albums live. I’ve already contacted some of my favourite musician friends, such as John Frusciante, Benjamin Curtis, Josh Klinghoffer and Flea and it’s great to see that all are just as enthusiastic about this project as I am”. If your memory’s short, if you’re new to all…

It’s been three months since the last wallpaper. OK, a couple of days more. And given that it’s summer in the northern hemisphere, how about a sunlight light from the sun wallpaper?
