John and RHCP multimedia

  • Let The Good Times Roll!

In case you have not purchased it yet, George Clinton’s newest album, George Clinton And His Gangsters Of Love is now available on the most of the bigger online stores. It can be bought in the traditional manner or you can simply get the individual track RHCP are featured on. In case you would like to listen to the whole song, someone apparently YoTube’d it and there are some samples at this link as well. If nothing else, you’ll be delighted by John’s bluesy playing. That man never fails to deliver something new, isn’t it so? And here are a couple of song reviews. In fact, a positive and a…

  • The first HQ video from Troubadour is online!

As mentioned in the previous news item; 04th September Troubadour video footage has surfaced – it constists of five HQ clips and the recording-angel’s name is Danielle. In order not to have the late 2006 and early 2007 video frenzy repeat, I shall be posting the videos as I’m receiving and optimising them. Also, after hearing that some people experience technical difficulties while viewing this footage on YouTube, flv versions of the videos will go online too, for easier viewing. But, most importantly: please, do respect Danielle’s hard work. Do not reupload her videos or use them without her explicit permission. Please. [MEDIA=182] To download this first video file, right-click…

  • Five more great videos from Troubadour

Many thanks to Danielle for these gems. Please, open the full news item to see them all, as they’d clutter the space otherwise. And soon (very soon), they shall be available in a downloadable format. Enjoy! • 10th anniversary of John’s first major show after re-joining RHCP

Just in case some of you don’t remember, aren’t good with dates and years; on this day ten years ago, John made his first major public appearance with RHCP after je re-joined the band some weeks earlier. If you haven’t read Scar Tissue and some of the unofficial band biographies, I’m recommending this article as well as its scans. Or, you can simply watch the video below, courtesy of SCB tape archive. Please, give it some time to load. [MEDIA=156] Consider this a toast for these ten years and many more to come. An alcohol-free toast, if you want to be extra-cool.

  • Invisible Movement needs your help (again, unfortunately!)

OK, this one is serious. And rather urgent. Invisible Movement needs help to stay on its feet for the second time. For those of you who were not following this website in November 2006 and for those of you who don’t remember it, back in the days the old hosting company kicked I-M.net out of its server because of “using up too much of the system resources” and, thanks to an amazing person, who partly made this site what it is and who is and always will be the most wonderful human on Earth, no matter where she is and what she is doing right now, who agreed to accept…

  • A spinoff in Wax Simulacra video clip

[MEDIA=27] This is The Mars Volta’s new video clip, to preceed the upcoming album. John is in it, too, at 2 minutes, 11 seconds. The scene he’s in lasts about 1/2 of a second, though; but I helped you by placing it as a preview still of the video. (as originally seen here… the version on this page is of bad quality, compressed and meant to be just a preview!)

  • Leeds festival – 26th August 2007

First of all, until 03rd September, you can watch some of the Reading set at this URL. I know how to rip and I would rip it and extract the best parts for you, but my computer has a problem with the rstp protocol and it won’t even let me watch it. So, if anyone knows how to rip from the stream (as I assume I’m not the only person in the world with that superpower…), it would be nice if you could rip this 🙂 Yorkshire Evening Post review NME review with a partial setlist. BTW, John did not do a solo at this show, for the first time…
