If you did not get it before and you aren't willing to pay more than its face value through second-hand marketplaces, this could be your chance.

    The Mars Volta's new album, Nocturniquet, is out on the 27th of March. John is not playing on it, but his close friend and the band's mastermind Omar Rodriguez-Lopez has nothing but praise and understanding for his "different philosophy". He also implies that they might be working on something new together in the future.

    Chad says John won’t attend Hall of Fame induction

    In a brief interview for Billboard.com, Red Hot Chili Peppers' Chad Smith talked about the band's plans after Anthony Kiedis' recovery, revealed that Jack Irons and Cliff Martinez will perform at the ceremony of inducing the band to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. However, John is not going to be there. He's "not with them".

There are interviews with all the said guitarists, thought it's unspecified when they took place.
