Site updates, 05th December 2007
There have been updates to almost all sections to the site, but I split it all in two, as it’s huge. There will be more, but before you ask for something, think of how it feels to be promotion a huge company for winter holidays and do all of their online marketing and you’ll get how good my concentration is at the moment. Oh, by the way, that also means I might be making errors here and do report them if you see them!
And since this update looked huge and ugly when I previewed it, please click the link below to see it. Before you do so, a sneak preview: many updates in almost all sections of the gallery and a large upgrade on the message board, new audio and some technical updates.
Gallery updates
Screencaps > RHCP concert clips:
Budokan, Tokyo – 09th January 2000
Guggenheim Museum, Bilbao – 18th April 2006
Taratata (French TV show) – 21st April 2006
Fanart > Traditional art:
Have a look at traditional art pieces by Travis Brown and Slobodan Marković. And, as usual, feel free to send in your own. By the way, guidelines for the fanart has been restricted. Please, no cakes. It is a bit creepy and not everyone would like to see it.
Other stuff > Album promotional items
That one’s new…feel free to check it out and contribute if you have anything unusual and interesting that’d fit in.
Other stuff > 1992-1997
There’s a new 1997 pic.

With this, the site has photos available from every show on the last leg of the European tour. And the videos of solo songs, actually…they’ll be on sometime soon.
However, live photo gallery is lacking stuff from years prior to 2003 and, for example, it has nothing from 2000 for now. If you or someone close to you who’s willing to give them out have been taking photos at RHCP shows of the Californication and By The Way tours or at John’s 2001 TROWFTD tour, please do contact me!
Board updates
The board aka forums aka forum aka BBS has been upgraded and the biggest problem was solved: now you can receive email notifications again. What does that mean? You’ll know when a thread you subscribed to has had new replies, I won’t have to hand-approve changes of email addresses and you can pick out random passwords generated by the system instead of having to remember them and forgetting them (and we’ve all been there, haven’t we?). Also, you’ll get a notification whenever someone comments on your profile or add you as a friend. Of course, all of this if you have chosen to have it that way, only the system mails are not opt-in.
When you go to the board now, you might get confused as there’s a new front page with syndicated news displayed, handy links, this month’s calendar with birthdays and events if any, as well as links to relevant sites and friends of Invisible Movement. In future, some other minor changes are planned to this front panel, so keep watching that space.
What else’s new on the board? You can post video clips in your messages…like those from YouTube or Google Video. See this thread for instructions and help. Some sites, such as Daily Motion, are not supported yet, so you’ll have to find out for yourself what links work and what do not work, but the most of the codes from the major video sites do work.
Also, in case you don’t see it, five most recently updated topics from two most relevant forums on the board, the general discussion and musicians’ ones are now shown on the front page of the site. And, vice versa, all the site news are now syndicated to a read-only news forum on the site. If you marked some topics as read or if there haven’t been any updated topics since your last visit (likely if you’re on all day long or something), it might display less than five of them, even none. It’s not a bug, don’t report it.
Last, but not the least: with the goal to embrace our differences and not leave anyone out, I have asked board members to input their holidays in a specified topic and tell everyone how it’s celebrated. Being someone who does NOT celebrate Christmas on 25th December and does not celebrate it with the commercial madness that comes with it either; and knowing that many people celebrate Chanukah, Bayram or just plain ol’ Yule, this is for learning something about the fellow fans and places where they come from.
More improvements on the board are coming up soon.
