RHCP to replace Foo Fighters at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival
RHCP will replace the Foo Fighters as the headliners of the 2022 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, colloquially known as JazzFest. They will perform on May 1st, from 5:30 PM to 7PM, making this a nice 90-minute performance. They will join the likes of The Who, Stevie Nicks, The Black Crowes, Lionel Richie and many more. The Foo Fighters cancelled all of their shows, including the New Orleans’ largest music fest, after the untimely passing of drummer Taylor Hawkins.
If you are in the area or able to make it there, this might be a far cheaper option than attending a concert, so this might come as welcome news.
For more information on other performers as well as the history of the festival, visit the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival website. The complete schedule with the list of stages per day is also available. This event is family-friendly and there are many other activities taking place during its two weekends.
An advance ticket can be purchased for $80 until May 4th. Child tickets, age 2-10 are $5 and tickets at the gate will cost $90, if any are left. We don’t think that there will be any left after this announcement. The said prices do not include the additional processing fees. The tickets are said to be valid on any of the days during a specific weekend, but we will reach out to the promoters in hopes of finding out if there are any additional limitations.
Weekend tickets are listed with the cost of $225, but the purchase link leads to a page showing only single day tickets.
Weekend VIP passes and various travel packages are also available on AXS.
If you’re going, please make sure you let me know – video, audio, photos and fans’ reviews of shows are a treasure – always have been, always will be.
