This is an update on the post about revealing of Johnny Ramone’s statue, an article from Rolling Stone where John is mentioned. Revealing of Johnny Ramone statue
According to Los Angeles Times and many picture sites plus some other reliable sources, the statue of the punk rock legend Johnny Ramone was unveiled on 14th January in Hollywood at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. John will play at the ATP festival
Thanks to Mila, Laura and Kim for the various bits of this: In a recent interview, John had announced that he would be playing at the 2005’s All Tomorrow’s Parties festival in UK. This year the festival selector is Vincent Gallo and more about the event can be read here. Tickets for the event cost 120 British Pounds. (which is about 220 Euros or 250 dollars, FYI) Price includes: Entry to the All Tomorrow’s Parties curated by Vincent Gallo starts Friday 22 April 2005 until at Noon until Monday 25 April 2005 at 10am. Clarification of the Saturday gig….
Apparently, according to this article and one guy from Ramparts forum who got to meet John in Germany last February, John, Omar and Flea’s project is called Cameo and performance 10, plus the thing held on Saturday were actually their shows. They’re looking for a drummer, they’ve already written 5 songs during the last year’s tour and they might publish an album as well:) Rock on!

John to perform at Ramones’ party…
This news was kindly lifted from MTV.com Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus, Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder and the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Flea and John Frusciante are among the acts scheduled to perform at the Ramones’ 30th anniversary party September 12 at the Avalon Theatre in Hollywood. Henry Rollins, Rancid’s Tim Armstrong, Pete Yorn, Rooney’s Robert Carmine, Bad Religion’s Brett Gurewitz, the Sex Pistols’ Steve Jones, the Mighty Mighty Bosstones’ Dicky Barrett and Ramones producer Daniel Rey will also join Marky and Johnny Ramone at the place where the Ramones played their last show in 1996. John will play two shows with Michael Rother!
Thanks to Michael Rother’s website… John Frusciante, Josh Klinghoffer and Michael Rother (of german band Neu!) will do another live performance on 4th august 2004 in San Francisco (Great American Music Hall).
