John, Flea, Josh and Stella AT TROUBADOUR, TONIGHT!
Many thanks to ezion retaw for this heads-up, with hopes that people who had Rock4Change tickets WILL see this. As tonight they are obviously NOT playing at Rock4Change (it was postponed); it appears that John, Flea, Josh and Stella are not postponing their gig otherwise. They will play at Troubadour in LA at 10:30 tonight, after Weave at 08:30 and Warpaint at 09:30. The event is called An evening of musical improv with Flea, John Frusciante, Josh Klinghoffer and Stella Mozgawa. The doors open at 8:00. Tickets are available at the door only for 15$ or via fax in advance (you can find the fax pdf template here). No Ticketmaster…

Rock4Change POSTPONED
As stated on the event’s official website, Rock4Change Fall ’08 concert is POSTPONED for the period between late October and late November, due to low ticket sales. The festival goal of fully funding the Reforestation Project in Darfur (through Aid Still Required) and the Clean Springs Campaign in Uganda (through Hands Across Nations) was not reached with the number of tickets sold and therefore they’re starting a new campaign, which will result in even more big names performing and a possible TV broadcast to millions of people all around the world. You can read the full statement here and, as soon as more information is available, it will be posted…

An update on Rock4Change and a reminder
In case some of you can make it to Hollywood on 04th September, there still are tickets for Rock4Change. Isn’t there anything possibly better than seeing a wonderful live improvisation by John, Flea, Josh and Stella Mozgawa AND contributing financially to people in Africa? It’s not too late to change your minds and have a good time! It’s also recommended to browse through Rock4Change MySpace page every now and then, they keep on adding interesting video clips with the performers talking about the event. Flea is in a couple of their PSAs, for example. And, the line-up has been extending and extending for the past couple of days. Currently, curiously…

Johnny Ramone tribute at the Hollywood Forever cemetary
Though he was not announced as one of the participants in the event, John was present at the Johnny Ramone tribute held on 01st August at the Hollywood Forever cemetary. The event featured special guests, such as Linda Ramone, Flea, Rose McGowan, Eddie Vedder, Lisa Marie Presley and others. Marky, Tommy and CJ Ramone were also there. Indie 103.1 radio was broadcasting the event and some of the interviews can be heard on Johnny Ramone’s official website (there is a player in the top right corner). It is not yet clear if John was one of the people interviewed, but according to the photographs, he probably was. Oh yes, the…

Leeds festival – 26th August 2007
First of all, until 03rd September, you can watch some of the Reading set at this URL. I know how to rip and I would rip it and extract the best parts for you, but my computer has a problem with the rstp protocol and it won’t even let me watch it. So, if anyone knows how to rip from the stream (as I assume I’m not the only person in the world with that superpower…), it would be nice if you could rip this 🙂 Yorkshire Evening Post review NME review with a partial setlist. BTW, John did not do a solo at this show, for the first time…

Reading Festival – 25th August 2007
Here’s the setlist and some useful links for last night’s Reading Festival. The photo is courtesy of BBC. If you’re interesting in reading the NME review, click here. Don’t bother to look at the photos linked; unless you want to see other performers. Here’s another review, from Uncut. Here’s BBCs RHCP special for the Carling weekend. I’d suggest you to keep on checking these links, as in most of the cases the pages will be updated with information from the Leeds festival. More from Glasgow
As the I-M.net regulars who went to Glasgow are probably still more resting, here are some nice off-site pics and reviews from the show. Some wonderful pics…bookmark and check back as, from what I understood, there will be more. Scotsman.com have posted a not-so pleasant review. However, Evening Times says: Opening with an instrumental jam, the Chilis took every opportunity to show off their virtuoso-like musicianship, with John Frusciante extracting never before heard noises from his guitar. and also: Meanwhile, Frusciante dropped to his knees for yet another over the top solo – like the reincarnation of Jimi Hendrix, the riffs just kept coming. To read the whole review, click…
