RHCP confirmed for Lollapalooza
As it’s known, Lolapalooza is no longer a tour, but a three-day festival in Chicago, USA. This year, Perry Farrell decided to bring it to its old glory and he invited some big names over…among them Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kanye West, Queens Of The Stone Age and Death Cab For Cutie. The festival will be held from 4th to 6th August and there will be more than 70 performers/bands; 130 acts on 8 stages in total. Here’s what Farrell said to MTV.com: “It’s a kick-ass lineup. This is the official cover for the new RHCP album, it was revealed yesterday, it resembles old arcade games and it’s pretty simple. No signs of who did it so far. Various bits of tour-related news
As per RHCP official site: 1) The band will perform at the Sazka Arena in Prague on June 14. Tickets for fanclub members will be on presale from March 11 and the general public will have a chance to get their hands on them from 15th March on. 2) The band will be doing a run of promo dates throughout April and May in the UK, Germany, France (Paris), Denmark, Italy and the US (L.A. and New York) and gold and silver fanclub members will be eligible to win free tickets for those shows. Japan show possible…
According to some rumours (thanks to Noriko for pointing this out!), it’s likely that the Japanese fans will also have a chance to catch John in action with RHCP this year. It’s possible that the band will play at the Fuji Rock Festival once again and, if so, the news should be confirmed within the next couple of weeks. Can you guys spot John?
