Stadium Arcadium out on 8th May 2006!
It’s finally official. According to NME, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ 9th full-length studio album, Stadium Arcadium, will hit the stores on Monday, 8th May. And, according to sources close to the band, that date is for UK-only, while the release date for USA will be 9th May. Release dates for other countries are not known yet, but they’re probably going to be announced according to the weekday when the new releases are out, and that varies from country to country, mind you. The album was meant to be a 38-songs trilogy, but it will be a 24-songs double LP instead. It will be perceded by the first single, “Dani California”…

Some more rumours on Stadium Arcadium
According to the Q Magazine and NME, the new Red Hot Chili Peppers’ album, Stadium Arcadium will be different than the 2002’s By The Way, as it’s going to be much heavier and since all the band members contributed to it equaly this time. The new single from the upcoming album will be released early in 2006 and it’s going to be titled “Dani California”, refering to the very same “Dani the girl” from the 2002 worldwide-hit By The Way. The release date of the album is still unclear, though some online sellers scheduled it for 8th May 2006 (UK) and 9th May 2006 (USA).

The Red Hot Chili Peppers have dubbed their ninth studio album Stadium Arcadium, according to Flea, and they plan to release it in April. “It’s very honest music, and I feel like we improved as craftsmen,” said the bassist Friday at the Spike TV Video Game Awards in Los Angeles, where he and lead vocalist Anthony Kiedis were presenters. “We gave all we had to this album.” The follow-up to 2002’s By the Way has been a long time in the making, as the Chili Peppers — Kiedis, Flea, guitarist John Frusciante and drummer Chad Smith —…

New rumours on RHCP album(s) and tour
According to chiliman from the RHCP BBS who had the time of his life when Chad Smith visited his highschool… …RHCP have not recorded one album, but two and those two albums are most likely not going to be published as a double album, but one after another, with a year between them, so the band can give more attention to touring. And, also, John will be participating in the recording on the new The Mars Volta album and the same band is rumoured to be one of the possible support bands for RHCP. Note that this information is unofficial, so don’t ask me any additional questions.

Brilliant version of UTB on the MTV benefit…
For all of you who didn’t manage to watch the band’s performance on the benefit yesterday, it’s available here. The stream is free and, if you want to download it, you will have to pay and, of course, all the money goes to the victims of the hurricane Katrina. If you’re interested to know what you will see before you see it, RHCP performed “Under The Bridge” and the performance was stunning. John was backing up Anthony already during the second verse and the harmonies at the end of the song were better than ever. So, go and listen it – you won’t regret it:)

The first reviews of the two RHCP shows last weekend
According to the fans’ stories on the message boards, both of the concerts were nice, while the second one in Atlantic City was outstanding. The setlists I’ve seen are not 100% complete and in order, but, once I find a full one, I will post it here. Same goes for pics, videos and anything people might offer. If you have something, please email me. Until then, here’s a review of the second concert from Rolling Stone.
