Swahili Blonde – new song, new musicians in the band, preorder info

Swahili Blonde's third (!) take on Elixor Fixor cover artAt this point, I believe it is safe to say that Swahili Blonde is a band – I do hope that this does not offend anyone, as it was not meant to offend. And yes, this is another round up of news on the project (to the despair of those who are angry that Invisible Movement is covering a project that John is actually a part of instead of covering the one he is not in anymore). This is coming from someone who was not civilised in the past and has learnt a lot from that: please, be civilised and respect other people’s tastes and choices, as previously explained here.

So, anyway…the band has just put their new song up and it’s called Tigress Ritual. Go and have a listen, if you like.

In addition to this, the project is now richer for two more “prominent” musicians – Duran Duran’s John Taylor on bass (refered to as “john2”, thus John becoming “john1”) and DEVO’s Alan Meyers on drums. Apparently, one of the songs/the song John Taylor is featured on is the above mentioned Tigress Ritual.

Despite the fact that there are no words from Manimal on the physical release of the Elixor Fixor single, it appears that it will be available on 16th March on Saki, so you may go and pre-order it. It’s limited edition.

According to the Myspace page, the Man Meat’s release date is pushed to summer 2010.

UPDATE – 15th February 2010: In case you did not believe the 7″ info on the Saki website, Duran Duran have just confirmed John Taylor’s involvement in a blog entry on DuranDuran.com.
