  • Here, Air now available as a free download on John’s blog!

First of all, I am sorry for a long, long time of the site being MIA (it was in a not-so-nice place called pička materina, to be precise). Basically, it was not deleted, it was disabled due to server problems. The site might have to be relocated in near future, as this is getting frustrating and comes in the worst possible moments. Here, Air; the 13th song off The Empyrean is now 100% free for everyone! You can download it on John’s official blog or below. You will have to submit a valid email address (and spell it correctly) and a link will be sent to your email inbox. Make…

  • The first HQ video from Troubadour is online!

As mentioned in the previous news item; 04th September Troubadour video footage has surfaced – it constists of five HQ clips and the recording-angel’s name is Danielle. In order not to have the late 2006 and early 2007 video frenzy repeat, I shall be posting the videos as I’m receiving and optimising them. Also, after hearing that some people experience technical difficulties while viewing this footage on YouTube, flv versions of the videos will go online too, for easier viewing. But, most importantly: please, do respect Danielle’s hard work. Do not reupload her videos or use them without her explicit permission. Please. [MEDIA=182] To download this first video file, right-click…

The complete radio broadcast of the Johnny Ramone tribute from 01st August 2008 is now available for download on Johnny Ramone Army. You can download the whole file (featuring other musicians and a Ramones’ live show aired through the breaks between interviews) from its original server, right-click, save as and don’t forget to visit johnnyramone.com for a detailed report on the event itself. Or, you can just listen to the part where John is being…

  • Joe Lally interview is online!

Last week, I asked the visitors of Invisible Movement to submit a question to Joe Lally, the Fugazi and Ataxia bassist and a solo artist. Kez of JoshKlinghoffer.net had a lengthy conversation with Joe (“lengthy” as in “almost fifty minutes”) and it’s online now. So, if you are interested in hearing how and when Joe, John and Josh met, who’s the original friend of Joe’s in RHCP, how the Ataxia’s songs were created, what Montreal is actually about, what the life after Fugazi, living in Italy and being a father are like… and much much more, have a listen or download the audio. Also, one of Joe’s new songs, from…

  • Site updates, 07th January 2008

…on a Monday. First of all, all the Green Fest videos have been re-uploaded, with the highest possible bitrate a .wmv file could have (2.1 Mbps) and in 640×480 resolution; so feel free to re-download them if you like it big. The links for iPod-complatible files have been fixed, thanks to Richard and Steven who pointed me out there were mistakes with some of them. If you’re having problems with videos and if they do not download completely, that is because the server is sometimes moody, I’d advice you to use something that can resume a download and download only one file at one time. That gives everyone equal chance…

  • More on Green Fest TV and amateur media!

Many people who have seen the videos from Green Fest have requested full versions of the three non-broadcasted songs. Unfortunately, I have not come accross a decent amateur video of Snow ((Hey Oh)) and Throw Away Your Television (still looking, though…I know many people who went to the show and also, my computer is like a war sight); but the good news is that Sascha, one of friends went to the show with me, recorded the whole of Don’t Forget Me. Head over to the amateur videos page and download it. iPod-compatible versions of all Green Fest TV clips are online. I first made them for my iPod, but having…

  • Green Fest videos from TV

Once again, happy New year 2008! Срећна Нова година! / Srećna Nova godina! ^_^ So…RHCP’s set at Green Fest was on TV and I managed to capture everything with my TV card. Until one of those nice people who have better signal manages to upload the files, these’ll do. Please, note that three songs were not shown on TV, due to reasons stated six months ago: Throw Away Your Television, Snow ((Hey Oh)) and, unfortunately, Don’t Forget Me, which was great even despite the obvious problems. The direction of the show was, as predicted, supreme. People who filmed really strange and scary things in the past did a great job…

  • Vpro documentary on RHCP, then and now

(as posted by pepperina on the official BBS) On 28th June 2007, Dutch channel 3 has shown a documentary made by Bram van Splunteren who also made the legendary documentary about John, and who did a lot of interviews and visits with the Peppers in their early years. It’s a great thing to watch, so here you go: Watch it at this URL! I am trying to find it and extract the interesting bits for you.

  • John at a MusicaRes event with Josh and Dave Gahan!

I was getting news on this before, but I didn’t know if I should put it online or not, as it seemed to be bogus, but…looks like it’s true. John will perform at a MusicaRes event tomorrow, at the Henry Fonda Theatre. On this page you will find a video clip where he’s rehearsing with Victor Indrizzo, Vincent Jones, Martyn LeNoble, Josh Klinghoffer and Dave Gahan. The “band” is apparently Gahan’s All Star Band. You will need QuickTime player to watch it. Here’s a sneak preview: Obviously, the actual event, although not listed on the MusicaRes site, is taking place later today.
