Thank you, everyone.
Thank you, thank you, thank you; visitors of this website. The community spirit has never been like this before. The donation rally resulted in the biggest number of donations ever and probably the biggest amount ever donated, so not only that the site’s hosting was paid; but the message board finally has up-to-date, legal and perfect software. There are still some errors to iron out as well as work on its looks, but it works, it’s public if you want to read it and registration is quite simple if you would like to participate in discussions. “Normal service” shall resume come today/tomorrow. It was the summer, after all. As many…

Heads-up – John’s blog was hacked, don’t go there!
It appears that John’s official website was the next victim of a common malware attack aimed at outdated installs of WordPress. In simple language – don’t go there until further notice.. It went to piÄka materina. You might end up downloading a rogue program to your computer from its footer. Such programs ironically pose as anti-virus software prompting you to buy it, while installing shortcuts to online porn on your desktop, gaining access over your system tools. If you have already been attacked by going to johnfrusciante.com, download a copy of Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware and have it scan your computer while NOT connected to the Internet – unplug your cables, shut…

Michael Rother on tour – no John, but he’s involved in future plans
In a lengthy video interview with German editing of Rolling Stone, Michael Rother is talking about his upcoming USA, Mexico and Europe Hallogallo 2010 tour, where his back-up band will consist of Steve Shelley of Sonic Youth fame on drums and Aaron Mullan of Tall Firs, presumably handling the guitar duties. But mr. Rother also reveals other musicians, like John and Josh Klinghoffer will be integrated in this project on occasion. There’s no word on what the occasion is, but knowing more about it and knowing that it is still an option, after a news or two on it last year, is great. You can find the tour dates on…

Ibanez WH10V2 specs and demonstration videos
There hasn’t been any talk of the re-issue of Ibanez’s WH10 pedal here in a while, but it appears that people are very interested and constantly asking about this pedal. Our friend Cary Smith has recorded and edited two demonstration videos of the legendary pedal’s new version. In the first part, he’s going over the specs of the pedal, and in the second video, he’s testing its sound by playing Red Hot Chili Peppers’ BloodSugarSexMagik, Sir Psycho Sexy, Mercy Mercy, She’s Only 18 and Get On Top as well as John’s Before The Beginning. These are the demos… …and these are the specs of WH10V2 If you have done your…

Give a little love in return…with a heart!
Errr…hello, Invisible Movement visitors, this is your webmaster. You wanted to “hear my opinion on this”, as if it would matter, so here you go. Way too many people have asked me super-bizzare stuff for the past couple of days: to change every single bit of text that says John is the guitarist of Red Hot Chili Peppers, to change the keywords for the site, to do this…to do that. Some even asked if this site would go on (and why wouldn’t it? O_o). On the other side, I was confused by how many people were suddenly inviting their friends to join their “I want John Frusciante back in RHCP”…

Toni Oswald on recording A Love Letter To The Transformer – mentions of John
Whisper78, a blog about sound appreciation, Toni Oswald has shared a lot of less-known inside bits regarding the recording of Loveletter To The Transformer, the first album of her and Josh Klinghoffer’s project, The Diary Of Ic Explura. The bits of that interview which might be interesting to the visitors of Invisible Movement, as John is mentioned, are below. I think you said it [the album] was recorded at John Frusciante’s house, was it recorded on the “King Crimson†8-track? (Laughs) What is that? I would like to believe that! It was recorded at John’s using his 8-track that he had used to do a lot of the stuff from…

October 2009 round-up
October 2009 is behind us and it was the month when, according to the “original” plan and many insiders’ comments on services such as Myspace and Twitter, Red Hot Chili Peppers returned to the studio. Most of the news items from this month revolved around this matter as well and there have been good vibes, but also a lot of anxiety coming from fans’ side was unleashed. Nobody is to blame, really; we’re all tottering in the dark, either way. But since being anxious can’t help things pass faster, here’s an advice: enjoy the music, enjoy rewinding your memories and who knows, what’s waiting around the corner is probably as…

Rob Alvord explains why he loves John so much
In a brief interview with In Utah This Week, singer-songwriter Rob Alvord was asked about his appreciation for John. Why are you so intrigued by guitarist John Frusciante? It is such a Cinderella Story. The man literally came back from the dead and resurrected a band’s stardom, to which he had originally helped become a phenomenon when he was only 19 years old. Truly, only a man who had been to hell and back has the understanding and ability to channel raw human emotion into sound waves the way that John Frusciante does. In addition to this, Rob has a whole writeup on John on his Myspace blog. His music…

Flea on RHCP rehearsing and his work at Silverlake Conservatory
OK, so, some of you complained about Invisible Movement becoming a website about Chad Smith. Some others claimed there’s too much fan-made contents (I assume you’re not into web 2.0, huh?) and some thought this was getting as stupid as Kunta Kinte at a a Merle Haggard concert. So, here’s a video where Flea confirms that band is rehearsing, it’s at 6:20 and transcribed below the video. [flash http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-0Lw8b04Q0] Host: People always want to know, what is the latest with the Chili Peppers? Flea: Oh, the Chili Peppers…well, we’ve just had a hiatus, so we took a break and now, we’re, you know, we’re in the room, working on new…

(Belated) September 2009 round-up
Yes, it’s already October and I’m posting the September round-up. I had a little story for all of you, discussing what really matters in life; but since things are happening and that’s what you probably care about more (which is both good and bad), I shall save that for another time…maybe for the day Invisible Movement crosses two million visitors. Just maybe. September 2009 was an amazing month, September 2009 was a tragic month. Just like any other, just like no other. It all depends which point of the view you’re taking. The internet never sleeps, so all of you, as well as major media, were more than active covering…
