Glenn Hughes describes working with “beautiful” John Frusciante

Legendary Deep Purple/Black Sabbath vocalist/bassist Glenn Hughes really enjoys working with John Frusciante and Chad Smith on his newest project, a follow-up to his latest studio effort, Soul Mover: “I spent the afternoon yesterday with John and Chad at Chad’s home. We had a funky good time writing and going over a couple of songs for my [upcoming solo] album. John Frusciante is an absolute one-of-a-kind. His vision and depth amazes me, and like Chad, he is extremely beautiful. Look forward to creating my next adventure in the New Year.” *Message and picture from Glenn Hughes Picture Gallery, words by Mr. Hughes himself, photo by Nancy Mack Smith & Gabrielle…

  • Happy 1st birthday to I-M.net

Just like the title of this news item says, happy birthday to Invisible Movement! Two days later than it should’ve been, I am sorry, I had lots of troubles at work and at the university and then I was too exhausted to make an update. I still am, even after unhealthy 28 hours of sleep, but, nevermind, here it goes…after this message. I can’t believe that it’s already been a year since the password-protection was removed from this page and since the first visitors checked out this website. I was surpised with how easily the fans accepted it and now I am as suprised with how the number of visitors…

  • John won’t be present at the ATP

This is what the ATP website issued this morning: 23rd November 2005 JOHN FRUSCIANTE NOT PLAYING Depsite postings on the web that John Frusicante was set to appear at ATP with the Mars Volta we are sad to report that John is unable to attend the festival this December so we are just giving you a heads up in case you were expecting him. I apologise for any speculation on my part (though I happen to know that other websites were speculating even more and almost panicking) and I do hope I did not hurt anyone’s feelings or made anyone’s work harder and more annoying than usual. As for the…

  • Exciting news about new RHCP album! :)

Here’s what Flea said to Rolling Stone, thanks to Austin for this news…. The Red Hot Chili Peppers have dubbed their ninth studio album Stadium Arcadium, according to Flea, and they plan to release it in April. “It’s very honest music, and I feel like we improved as craftsmen,” said the bassist Friday at the Spike TV Video Game Awards in Los Angeles, where he and lead vocalist Anthony Kiedis were presenters. “We gave all we had to this album.” The follow-up to 2002’s By the Way has been a long time in the making, as the Chili Peppers — Kiedis, Flea, guitarist John Frusciante and drummer Chad Smith —…

  • 100 000 visitors

Invisible-Movement.net crossed the 100 000 visitors mark today:) Just that, more real news soon.

  • Recent site visitors’ questions

Strangely enough, seems like many of the site visitors are asking me questions which are very hard to respond because I am, well, NOT affiliated with relevant people. However, I did my best to respond to these. I cannot guarantee that my responses are 100% accurate, but, well, they’re mostly accurate. Is John going to perform as Michael Rother’s guest on the ATP festival? Well, nothing is official. According to my own intuition, he could be in the audience and come to jam or something. If he’s in the audience on The Mars Volta concerts in Los Angeles area, he’s almost always coming to jam with them and, well, since…

  • More on Frusciante/Smith/Hughes collaboration

Once again, as said on GHPG.net and Blabbermouth.net, John’s collaboration with Glenn Hughes is going to be very very interesting. Here’s what mr. Hughes said on the forum of his website: John Frusciante has written a song for me for the new album and we’re getting together on Monday to go over a couple of other things. The whole article can be found here and, if you need your nerves for the years to come, don’t read the comments. You can simply smell anti-John people there.

  • Babyshambles compared to John?!

A writer of The South End Newspaper is comparing the music of Pete Doherty’s new band, Babyshambles, to John’s music… Tuesday marked the release of the new album by Babyshambles, which is Britain’s answer to John Frusciante. Why John Frusciante you ask? Well at one time, lead Shamble Pete Doherty was a member of British punks the Libertines. However, drug abuse forced him out of the band and into a mess of tabloid fodder. In the midst of this, he just so happened to record an album that so defines drug abuse and addiction, much like Frusciante post-Chili Peppers offerings.

  • John will be on Glenn Hughes’ new album

As quoted on GHPG.net and Blabbermouth.net, Glenn Hughes and Chad Smith are working on material for Hughes’ new CD in Hollywood. They’ve written 12 songs so far and Chad said that “It’s the most varied material, from quite raw numbers, to balls-out rock, to epic ‘Dont Let Me Bleed’ types to hard funk. The engineer and mixer for the new Peppers’ record will do it… He’s fantastic and was blown away by what we’re doing.” And why is this important? Well, lately, whenever Chad says something, it’s either revealing something new and exciting about John or John is involved in something together with him 😀 So…following the successful cooperation with…
