RHCP to appear at at Spike TV Video Game Awards 2005

Babyshambles compared to John?!
A writer of The South End Newspaper is comparing the music of Pete Doherty’s new band, Babyshambles, to John’s music… Tuesday marked the release of the new album by Babyshambles, which is Britain’s answer to John Frusciante. Why John Frusciante you ask? Well at one time, lead Shamble Pete Doherty was a member of British punks the Libertines. However, drug abuse forced him out of the band and into a mess of tabloid fodder. In the midst of this, he just so happened to record an album that so defines drug abuse and addiction, much like Frusciante post-Chili Peppers offerings.

As quoted on GHPG.net and Blabbermouth.net, Glenn Hughes and Chad Smith are working on material for Hughes’ new CD in Hollywood. They’ve written 12 songs so far and Chad said that “It’s the most varied material, from quite raw numbers, to balls-out rock, to epic ‘Dont Let Me Bleed’ types to hard funk.
