• Clarification of the Saturday gig….

Apparently, according to this article and one guy from Ramparts forum who got to meet John in Germany last February, John, Omar and Flea’s project is called Cameo and performance 10, plus the thing held on Saturday were actually their shows. They’re looking for a drummer, they’ve already written 5 songs during the last year’s tour and they might publish an album as well:) Rock on!

  • Attention – pirates from EBay strike again

As we all know (even us who don’t actually use EBay), there are people with lack of moral who actually sell concerts and even internet albums with their own cover art. Well, I thought I’d warn you and show you one: Here’s the front cover and the back cover. If anyone fell for that, well, you’ve been tricked, people. The internet album never had the barcode on it, neither email address of someone from Brazil and the songs are definitely not called “Three Troughts” and “I Go Trough These Walls”. Oh yeah, there’s no bonus track either. And, to everyone who is doing things like this, why not be nicer?…

  • Last night’s surprise event

John performed with Flea and Omar Rodriguez last night at Downtown Club, Los Angeles, USA . More to follow as soon as I get my hands on information.

  • RHCP performed for the US democrats again…

Red Hot Chili Peppers performed at one more US democrats’ convention, this time in Santa Monica last night. Here’s the snippet of the article from Daily Bruin: A mini-demographic shift then took place as the sound of Flea’s bass guitar drove some of the audience’s older members away and brought the younger members toward the stage. Lead singer Anthony Kiedis came on stage wearing a vintage Super Bowl T-shirt, which he promptly removed before the end of the first song. The band played a variety of songs, including two new ones. A touching moment occurred when Flea, the bass player, commented that Clinton had “pretty eyes,” to which Kiedis responded,…

  • Chad, Glenn and John’s project

From melodicrock.com, thanks to tcmac2000 from Ramparts forum “Glenn, Chad and John Frusciante (Red Hot Chili Peppers) recently recorded a phenomenal version of Nights In White Satin (Moody Blues original). This amazing song features one of Glenn’s greatest ever vocals. Both this song and the track Soul Mover have been mixed by world famous engineer Jim Scott (Audioslave / Red Hot Chili Peppers).”

  • Esquire House benefit

Beverly Hills rocked Thursday night as the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Perry Farrell played a backyard party at Esquire House to raise funds for both the Autism Coalition and Surfers Healing, a non-profit that teaches autistic children to surf. Surfers Healing founders Danielle and Israel Paskowitz had brought out the star power. “I’m a dear friend of the Paskowitz family, and a surfer from way back,” Farrell said before spinning a set as his alterego, DJ Peretz. Farrell also performed two Jane’s Addiction songs, “My Time” with Flea and John Frusciante, and “Oceanside” with Flea and Extreme’s Nuno Bettencourt. The luau-themed benefit, for which fans paid $250 a head…
