  • Rolling Stone name RHCP the band of the year & more

Rolling Stone named RHCP the band of the year! The Red Hot Chili Peppers came back strong, matured with a new kind of world-weathered wisdom but still crazed in all their original sock-dicked glory. They dropped a massive double-disc opus, Stadium Arcadium, that became their first Number One album – and possibly their best ever. The band kicked it on the road with abandon, climaxing festivals from Lollapalooza to Vegoose as well as every place in between. But the emotional highlight may have been the Voodoo Music Experience festival in New Orleans, where the Peppers brought the funk back home in a headlining jam with the reunited original lineup of…

  • New audio files and photos.

The 2006 audio page was updated with, well, 18 new songs, 3 are coming up as soon as I make them sound better and 3 more when the person who’s kindly offered them to the site gets around to send them over;) I’m warmly recommending you to listen to John’s cover of Cat Stevens’ How Can I Tell You? from 6th December, as it lasts for almost three minutes and suits his voice perfectly. And people who’ve listened to the original will know how beautiful it’s always been to hear it. Well, this is maybe even better! I am also looking for a decent video of that or any video…

  • John on the TG cover again!

John is on the cover of the British magazine Total Guitar again. This time, he’s there because he was a runner up to Synyster Gates of Avenged Sevenfold as the readers’ choice guitarist of the year 2006. In the same poll, Red Hot Chili Peppers won the best band, best album and best music video awards. I do not have scans of this yet myself, as the magazine has not arrived to Serbia yet (hint-hint!), so you can check them out at Jane’s John Frusciante page, as Jane is the unofficial fast-John-article-scanning European champion for 2006 and she finds absolutely everything.

  • Help a fellow fan with an assigment

Alex from UK needs more responses to her questionnaire about fan merchandise and body modifications, which is directed at RHCP and John fans and a part of Click here to download the file and fill it out. Responses should be sent to Alex herself, at slowcheetah1@gmail.com and I believe she’ll be thankful for the help:) By the way, the trojan has been found and the message board is completely save now. If you’re still having problems, delete your temporary internet files and/or restart the computer and everything should be fine.

  • A reminder to vote for John on the GW 2006 poll

Just wanted to remind you of the Guitar World Poll 2006 where John is nominated in three categories: best rock guitar, most valuable player and the best GW cover in 2006. Go and vote!

  • Photos from the second Vienna show

I am still sorting the Vienna media taken by me and my friends…however, I did my best to put the photos from the 7th December show online. Click here to view them. I am so happy to share them here on the site, as I was always posting other people’s photos and this feels soo different! If you want to use them, ask me first, please. I am likely to say yes, but it’s polite to ask me first.

  • Board problem – to be resolved soon

Something hacked the board and it’s downloading trojans to users’ computers. I am recommending you NOT to go to the board without a proper antivirus program until I have fixed it, which will probably happen on Saturday, as I am currently in Vienna, the capital of Austria and without access to a normal computer which has more than just a restricted version of a web browser. That is also the reason I did not update for a couple of days, for which I apologise. I do not own a laptop or anything… And if you ask me what I am doing here, you probably guessed that I finally got to…

  • Site updates, 02nd December 2006 – New live photos, at last.

Believe it or not, restoring the galleries and giving them certain attributes so images could be shown again (unfortunately, not in new windows yet, but the wonderful gallery script developers promised to solve that for me) is taking ages. However, the most of the live gallery, with photos taken by fans, is working now. The magazine gallery should be error-free, however, without proper titles and descriptions, while screencaps, press photos and fanart are yet to be re-added to the site. So…yes, there are some new, fresh concert photos for you to enjoy. And people who requested to see John with his new no hair/almost no hair style should stop emailing…
