Red Hot Chili Peppers to play at the Roskilde festival
(from RHCP.com) Red Hot Chili Peppers have been confirmed to play at the Roskilde Festival. The festival dates have been confirmed as July 5 – 8, and the festival takes place 35 miles outside of Copenhagen in Denmark! You can purchase your tickets here. The official website also announced presale for the Paris tickets tomorrow morning. So, if you’re in the fanclub, you have a chance of getting them before anyone else. Good luck:)

The concert/production organisation Komuna is negotiating with the management of the band Red Hot Chili Peppers about a concert they could hold in Belgrade in 2007. RHCP in Paris in July + rumours
(from RHCP.com) The first European summer tour date has been confirmed. Red Hot Chili Peppers will play at the Parc des Princes stadium in Paris, France on 06th July. The presale and public sale dates are yet to be announced. According to various unofficial sources, other possible places for the summer tour are London (how predictable, huh?), Bratislava, a couple of cities in Germany, one or two of the southern European cities and perhaps even a set at the Roskilde festival in Denmark. I shall let you know if I find something out.

RHCP to perform at Brit Awards
(thank you, Sarah!) On the award launch show on the British TV station ITV2, it was announced that RHCP will be performing. The awards are taking place at the Earl’s Court, London on 14th February. Oklahoma City show postponed due to bad weather
The last night’s RHCP show in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA was postponed due to bad weather and snow storms in the area. Instead of the actual show, a local radion station played one of their old shows. The new concert date is not yet known.

Another RHCP show in Tokyo
(from RHCP.com) It was just announced that RHCP will play one more show on their Japanese tour…on Friday, 23rd March at the Tokyo Dome. The fanclub presale starts on January 16th at 10 (local time) and public tickets for this show will be available for purchase on 2nd February. Good luck!

Satellite Party plans announced
(via Billboard.com and track listing thanks to Blabbermouth.net) Perry Farrell’s new band, Satellite Party, will release it first album, “Ultra Payloaded,” May 15 via Columbia. As first reported here in November, the band will make its live debut Monday (Jan. 15) as part of ESPN Winter X Games in Aspen, Colo. Artists featured on the album include New Order’s Peter Hook, Fergie (who sings on “Dogstar” and the title cut), Red Hot Chili Peppers principals Flea and John Frusciante and composer Harry Gregson-Williams, who led a 30-piece orchestra on five songs.
