Review of the Albany show
Here is a review of the last night’s shows in Albany, NY, USA…to keep you happy until the Invisible Movement Albany special (in who knows how many parts) sees the light of the day. Happy reading! The Peppers aren’t going softly into middle age. On the contrary, the Peppers have been ripping it up, releasing the double-disc “Stadium Arcadium” in May and are in the midst of a worldwide tour that ends next April. The Peppers were red hot at the Pepsi Arena on Saturday night, blowing away a sellout crowd of more than 15,000 with almost two hours of relentless, slamming rock/funk that had fans up on their feet…

Six more videos have been added to the East Rutherford special page: full clips of the intro jam, Can’t Stop, Scar Tissue, Dani California and partial clips of Fortune Faded and Me & My Friends. That concludes the special, as there’s no more footage available. And, here are some pics from the same show, by the same person as well: click! Once again, if you want to say thanks to Marian for this, reply to the previous entry

Invisible Movement East Rutherford special part one!
So…it’s about time there was a special. Actually, don’t think anything ever was called special on this website…either way, it’s a special and I bet you will love it. And what you see below is NOT everything, there will be more tomorrow, as I still need to edit it. Under this link, you will find 640×480 video clips of Readymade, Snow and Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow. They are a bit bigger than the video files from some other shows, so please have patience when downloading. Dial-up…

Site updates – 19th October 2006
The little break between the tour legs is over…it’s pretty obvious that this site took advantage of it as well, as many things are either changed or currently being changed. Read on… The gallery is back, minus the screencaps and fanart sections which needs to be redone, as the site obviously has more space than 2 years ago when the most of those screencaps were uplpaded and I am intending to make them bigger. You might also notice that the pictures are not opening in new windows. It’s a bug concerning the CMS and the gallery script used, the developers of the gallery script are investigating it. Until then, well,…

Reviews of the first NJ show
Here are some of the review excerpts with links to the full reviews of the first of two Red Hot Chili Peppers’ shows in East Rutherford, New Jersey, USA. New York Times said: Musicianship propelled the show, which heavily featured Mr. Frusciantes guitar playing: in terse eight-bar pockets, extended codas and rubbery interludes with Flea. Soloing on Throw Away Your Television, Mr. Frusciante tossed off a tangled ribbon of notes, in the language of Jimi Hendrix. He was just as powerful on Dont Forget Me, trilling intensely over a distorted bass riff; when he dropped to his knees, and then onto his back, it felt more like a spirit possession…

Guitar Player, November 2006 issue
John is on the cover of the next month’s issue of Guitar Player and there’s a long interview with him inside. Among other things, he’s explaining which effects were used on which song on Stadium Arcadium. Some excerpts from the interview can be found on the magazine’s official website. Scans and transcript will be on the site shortly, as one of the I-M.net fairies is on her way to grab the magazine;) For now, here’s the cover:

Links to the reviews of the first Boston show
Here are links to some reviews of the Boston show, as none of them was inspiring enough to have its excerpt posted… A review from Telegram.com A review from Boston.com For those who don’t want to bother reading, John sang Your Pussy Is Glued To A Building On Fire. He sang it in Quebec City as well, which might be a sign that it’s about to become a regular part of RHCP setlists once again, which would be wonderful. If you have pics or media from this show, drop me a line.
