  • A fresh video clip, pics, covers and wallpapers

So, well, I’ve been pretty busy but a well-balanced schedule also means more time for i-m.net. You might’ve heard of a short video clip where John is talking about Stadium Arcadium. Well, thanks to a very helpful fellow fan who ripped it, you can download it on this site, instead of just streaming it, in the videos section. It cannot be paused while playing, but I’m working on fixing that somehow. Head over to the gallery, the 2002 photos are online. There might be more additions in the future, as this is just a random bunch of them that I picked. And there’s one more photo in the 2006 section.…

  • John was on the Coachella documentary premiere…

Sorry for the late update, guys and girls, I was pretty much ill on Friday and Saturday. Anyway, John and Anthony were guests on the premiere of the documentary about Coachella festival (remember, RHCP headlined that in 2003) in Los Angeles, so, here’s the text from The Desert Sun and two very nice pictures borrowed from One Hot Globe’s picture-finding-wonder-woman, JuliaCher: “Coachella” finally arrived on Broadway on Thursday. The long-awaited documentary on the history of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival made its world premiere at the ornate Orpheum Theatre on Broadway in downtown Los Angeles, complete with klieg lights and a roped entry for featured artists to make…

  • Rumours from the December ATP

According to some posters on the RHCP BBS who had the chance to speak to the memers of The Mars Volta during the last weekend’s Nightmare Before Christmas ATP festival….. Someone over at thecomatorium.com was speaking to Juan (TMV’s bassist) for a while at ATP and he told them that they’d already recorded the new album, and that our very own Mr Frusciante plays a very large role in it. Juan said “It’s as if he’s part of the band now.” Sounds interesting, another collaboration (though predicted anyway) to look forward too.

  • Vote for Curtains

(nabbed from John community on LiveJournal) This website runs a poll about the best albums of 2005. Since Curtain was published in January this year, you can vote for it:)

  • An addition to the news from yesterday…

NEW YORK (Billboard) – Former Deep Purple singer/bassist Glenn Hughes is gearing up to record his next solo release, with the aid of Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante and drummer Chad Smith. The yet-to-be-titled release will be recorded in January and is on target for a May release. Hughes and Smith have been close friends for several years; Smith also co-produced Hughes’ 2005 album “Soul Mover” and will fill the same role on the new release. “(While) writing new music for this record, Chad and I thought it would be great to have John come in, write and play on a couple of the tunes,” Hughes said. “John…

  • Recent site visitors’ questions

Strangely enough, seems like many of the site visitors are asking me questions which are very hard to respond because I am, well, NOT affiliated with relevant people. However, I did my best to respond to these. I cannot guarantee that my responses are 100% accurate, but, well, they’re mostly accurate. Is John going to perform as Michael Rother’s guest on the ATP festival? Well, nothing is official. According to my own intuition, he could be in the audience and come to jam or something. If he’s in the audience on The Mars Volta concerts in Los Angeles area, he’s almost always coming to jam with them and, well, since…

  • And yet another eBay auction

So, a couple of days ago, there was someone selling one of John’s rare paintings from the dark years. The auction ended with no bids and it’s not known what happened. Now, just when the dust has fallen down, there’s yet another auction. This time, it contains three coloured pencil drawings, one BMI medal from 1993 and a book about RHCP signed by John. Apparently, from what I checked when I saw what pictures are coming from, once again, this guy was just hired to sell the stuff for someone else. He has a whole company for helping people sell their stuff on eBay. Come to think, it was not…

  • Authentic or not?

This is supposedly one of John’s paintings from the 90s and someone is trying to sell it. Might be true, might be a fake, but, according to the story, it’s real.

Yes have released The Word Is Live, a three-CD concert set spanning 1978 to 1988. Only two of the 26 songs, 1970 versions of “Them” and “Everyone,” have been previously released from the late John Peel’s BBC program, with the rest coming from assorted concerts in the US and Europe. The booklet accompanying The Word Is Live features an introduction by Greg Lake from Emerson, Lake And Palmer, as well as testimonials from Rush’s Geddy Lee, John Frusciante of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Taylor Hawkins of Foo Fighters, and others.
