A little John feature in Guitar Techniques
There’s an article about John in the July 2006 issue of Guitar Tecniques. I’m guessing it’s an UK magazine since its price is written in pounds. The article is about his playing style and there are also six pages of The Zephyr Song tabs. Here are the scans, I was lucky to come accross that magazine on Saturday.

LA times article on RHCP and Stadium Arcadium
There’s a pretty good article on John and RHCP right here. There are a couple of tiny mistakes in it, regarding how long John’s absense from the band lasted, what he bought this year etc, but it’s still a good read.

John in Guitar Legends
Three photos of John, one taken by Ross Halfin, one taken by Clay Patrick McBride and one by Justin Borucki, have been featured special issue of Guitar Legends, collectors’ edition, called “The Greatest Guitar Portraits”. Of course, John is in it. Apparently, John is a “Guy Candy”
And now something completely different… This article bit might be interesting to some of the site viewers…it’s from this week’s edition of the British “NEW!” magazine, where they somehow selected John to be the “guy candy” of the week. This Week’s Guy Candy is John Frusciante Red Hot Chili Peppers’ guitarist and songwriter John Frusciante is, according to various people who perhaps don’t get out enough, “simply a genius”. John believes that “the air is more important than solid things”, he’s said to be Chilis’ “secret weapon”, he has an “inspired madness” and his music “speaks straight to your soul”. And, thanks to wonderful Claudia from Germany, there are two scans from that magazine featuring John in this year’s gallery.
