  • Desecration Smile is single of the week…+ info on how to get it

According to Daily Record, Desecration Smile is the single of the week. ONE of the highlights of Stadium Arcadium, this, despite the title, is a bright, almost hippyish ballad in the style of Under The Bridge. Fresh from winning four Grammys, including Best Rock album, it again proves that they and fellow Eighties survivors U2 are the foundations of modern rock. This song stands out because of singer Anthony Kiedis’s high vocals in the early verses but as ever becomes epic with the guitar playing of John Frusciante. Now, how to get the single? Part one, featuring Joe as bonus track. Part two, featuring Funky Monks (live) and Save This…

  • RHCP to perform at Live Earth in July

Apparently, RHCP will take part in a manifestation called Live Earth, founded by USA politician and ex-vice president, Al Gore, on 07th July . The event will take place in seven different cities accross the world, one on each continent, and it will be webcasted. According to some sources, RHCP will most likely be playing in (how very surprising) London. It is not clear how this will happen, as the performance at the Roskilde festival is scheduled for the same day…?! Here’s the article from LiveDaily. It’s official: Former Vice President Al Gore and a group of climate-crisis activists have launched a massive campaign that includes a star-studded, 24-hour Live…

  • Brit Awards report and surprises

Unfortunately, Red Hot Chili Peppers did not win an award for the best international group at this year’s Brit Awards, it went to the Killers, but they performed Dani California on stage at the Earl’s Court and John was great once again (seriously, is he ever not great?), so it comes around as some sort of comfort. A video of the performance on YouTube An interview with John, also available as a downloadable file instead of streaming audio here🙂 If anyone’s interesting in transcribing it (or any other interview from the interview page), that would be absolutely great. The galleries of pics from Grammy and Brit Awards shall be up…

  • RHCP not in Belgrade, but in InÄ‘ija?!

According to 24 časa, Večernje novosti and MTS Mondo, as well as some of our sources in local media and some fairies and elves, Red Hot Chili Peppers are definitely going to play in southeastern Europe for the first time in their 22-year-long career…and what’s even better, they’ll be playing here in Serbia! However, surprisingly, the venue will most likely be an open field close to the small town of InÄ‘ija, 40-ish km north-western from Belgrade [the capital/I-M.net headquarters :p]. Here’s the translation of the news published in all the mentioned media during the last couple of days, translated by yours truly. The greatest American rock band at the moment,…

  • Grammy acceptance speech clip is online…

…and it could be better, but both my desktop computer and my laptop are leading their own little different wars with codecs. So, the file is in lower resolution now, but if I get to save it in high quality, I will notify you all, as this definitely deserves the best quality possible. Click here to go to the video.
