• Site updates, 22nd July 2007

First of all, an apology. The “next two days” from the previous update have already turned into a week. Basically, the weather here is unbearable, over 40 degrees Celsius (100 Fahrenheit for you guys over there in USA) and it’s impossible to function normally. Cosmetic/performance changes on the site: Once upon a time, there used to be a possibility for people to reply to each other’s comments, like on the oldschool web 1.0. forums. Well, now it exists again. Also, comments are paged, so only ten of them appear on a single page. The guestbook is finally split in pages as well. There are many other interesting things on comment…

  • Site updates, 14th July 2007

First of all, please, stop asking me about the audio files that aren’t working at the moment. I said I would eventually take care of that and it takes some work and, more importantly, some time. Invisible Movement has never been THIS popular and it’s a bit hard to get used to it. I have 300 mails in my inbox at the moment and about 100 more in drafts, the most of them are related to the site, so…sorry for being slow, it’s not physically possible to do so many things at once. Second of all, an apology to Casey. You commented four times and I thought I deleted three…

  • Brian May praises John

This is from Brian May’s blog, regarding Live Earth, written today. Many thanks to the ever so wonderful Serhiy for the heads up. I didn’t see everyone, but of what I saw, I’m afraid I thought the Yanks pulverised us! The Chili Peppers and the Foos seemed to absolutely show everyone else up, in musicianship, work, polish and passion. I thought John Frusciante played SO dangerously – the best I’ve ever seen him play – The RHCP’s have deservedly conquered Britain’s hearts. P.S. The poll works now. Feel free to vote and comment, but be nice. Disrespectful comments will be deleted. And, remember that if you’re commenting for the first…

Here’s the setlist for the last night’s RHCP performance at the famous Roskilde festival in Denmark, as posted by deloused on the official BBS. • Live Earth, from Reuters

LONDON (Reuters) – The Red Hot Chili Peppers led dozens of pop stars performing at Live Earth concerts around the world on Saturday to persuade fans and governments to go green. Crowds poured into venues in Sydney, Tokyo, Shanghai, Hamburg and Johannesburg to hear Linkin Park, Rihanna, Shakira, Crowded House, Kumi Koda and many others perform and former U.S. Vice President Al Gore call for action on climate change. Genesis, Razorlight and Snow Patrol kicked off the event at London’s Wembley Stadium, leading a star-studded cast there including Madonna, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Spinal Tap, who will play before a less-then-capacity crowd of around 63,000. Corinne Bailey Rae…

  • 06th July 2007 – Paris, France

The show has just ended and the nice people of OHG have graced us with the setlist once again. And, well, there’s a new solo by John, Take It As It Comes, by The Doors. Random? No, it’s perfectly logical. On 07th December 2006, in Vienna, John sang The Doors’ Blue Sunday, to pay tribute to the late Jim Morrison one day before his birthday. He sang it only once more, five days later and we never heard it again. The day Jim died was 03rd July. However, he died in Paris, so paying a tribute to him in Chorzow wouldn’t make as much sense as doing it tonight, in…

  • John on the cover of German Guitar magazine, RHCP legends special inside

John is on the cover of this month’s Guitar magazine (Germany) and there’s a whole special about Red Hot Chili Peppers inside. The magazine’s website is under this link and it would be very nice if someone could provide scans of this, translate, send in the magazine, or, well…any of those. For information on how to subscribe to the magazine, click here.

  • Live Earth RHCP setlist revealed

According to NME, here’s what’s in store for the lucky ones who’ll be in London tomorrow: Chris Rock introduces Red Hot Chili Peppers Set: ‘Can’t Stop’/’Dani California’/’So Much I’/’By The Way’ They will probably play at around 17:30 GMT, but I heard that from people who were most likely counting how much time it will take for each artist to perform, so do not rely on that information. All the performers and setlists are here. As the most of the world will be showing Live Earth on TV, as a direct broadcast, check your local TV channels for broadcasting times.

  • Site updates, 05th July 2007

First of all, a little warning: anyone abusing the star system and using obsene language will be banned from seeing this whole internet domain.
