John to appear on a NASA album
(As per New Musical Express) Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ singer Karen O, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ John Frusciante, CSS’s Lovefoxxx and MIA are to feature on a new album together. The acts all appear on NASA (North America South America), the band featuring Squeak E. Clean (film director Spike Jonze’ brother) and DJ Zegon (aka Ze Gonzales). Also set to feature on the album are Talking Heads’ David Byrne, Tom Waits, Wu Tang Clan’s RZA and ODB, Spank Rock and The Cardigans’ Nina Persson. Vpro documentary on RHCP, then and now
(as posted by pepperina on the official BBS) On 28th June 2007, Dutch channel 3 has shown a documentary made by Bram van Splunteren who also made the legendary documentary about John, and who did a lot of interviews and visits with the Peppers in their early years. It was quite unexpected to see John at the front page of Blic today, especially with the news that went with it. Here’s a photo of the front page and a (horrible) English translation of the article.
