I-M.net board’s 2nd anniversary
Ladies and gentlemen, today, 2 years ago, the discussion board of this website came to life. However, as one of the head moderators is having some serious problems and we’re all worried for her, this year we won’t be celebrating. I’m using this occasion to say that we’re sending good vibes her way. Of course, everyone who has not joined the board in the past is still welcome to jump on and have a chat.

New poll!
After running the previous poll for more than a month and having had 1307 people vote, there’s a clear picture of what John and RHCP fans think of Josh Klinghoffer’s According to 53% of voters did not mind Josh’s presence at all or they loved it. The number of people who were not happy with his presence equals 23%, while 22% think he should be involved in John’s solo projects, but not with anything that concerns Red Hot Chili Peppers. 2% of people had no clue who Josh was. John on Wu-Tang Clan’s Beatles cover song
(from Rolling Stone) During an interview Friday, Wu-Tang Clan mastermind RZA let us in on a hit tip: Wu-Tang are taking on the Beatles. Due November 13th, the Clan’s upcoming fifth album, 8 Diagrams, has a track RZA is currently calling “Gently Weeps.†It features a sample of the Beatles’ “While My Guitar Gently Weeps,†which is cool enough. But what’s even cooler is the fact that Wu-Tang’s cover of the song features Red Hot Chili Pepper John Frusciante on lead guitar and Dhani Harrison, George Harrison’s twenty-nine-year-old son, on acoustic. “He’s the biggest Wu-Tang fan in the world,†RZA says of Harrison, whom RZA called in for the session.…

Battle of the Johns…who wins?
I’ve come accross an excellent article written by Feana Kotter for Western Courier and I simply have to share it. The Johns in questions are our John and John Mayer. The author compares them in four categories: the solo, improv, live performance and crowd appeal. ——– In the February 22, 2007 issue of Rolling Stone, guitarists John Mayer and John Frusciante (Red Hot Chili Peppers) were crowned as two of the new Top 20 Guitar Gods. Picks in hand and amps cranked to 11, it’s time to determine who would prove triumphant in an old-school battle of the bands. Most people might dare to automatically assume Frusciante would have the…

Reading Festival will be held despite the floods
(as per Contact Music) This year’s Reading Festival in England will go ahead later this month (24-26 Aug 07) despite serious flood damage to the site. Heavy rainfall in the area caused part of the nearby River Thames to burst its bank, leaving the open-air gig in jeopardy. But concert organisers have confirmed all floodwater will be removed in time for the concert – which will feature headline performances from Razorlight, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Smashing Pumpkins. Festival boss Melvin Benn says, “We’re literally pumping water off by the thousands of gallons an hour. There are vast areas of it that you can actually walk on now.…

Total Guitar, July 2007
If you hurry up and especially if you don’t live in UK, chances are you’ll still be able to grab the July issue of Total Guitar, with tabs to Californication. Sorry that this was not posted in July, apparently, none of the I-M.net scouts from UK knew it. Luckily, I found this magazine in a shop here in Serbia today and scanned the tabs, so you can view them here. I apologise for the weird line on each scan, I think it’s time for me to get a new scanner. This is the second scanner that has died because of the material for this site, weird enough.

Having hit the 500 000 visitors milestone right after the month’s started, 08th July being the best day in the site history when it comes to number of visitors and the whole month of July being the overall statistics champion ever since the site went online, Invisible Movement sure has reasons to celebrate. The rest of the pages are password-protected as I have not finished them yet, but I promise that will be done soon.…
